Share some wisdom!

Through our experiences, good and bad, we obtain wisdom, which guides us through similar situations we may encounter later in life. All of us lead different lives, and encounter different things. Some of us are street-wise. Some of us are good at making lots of money. Some of us have a way with wimmenz (or men!)
So what if we all shared our many, many wisdoms here? We could become one supernatural, all-wise, all conquering consciousness of awesomeness, that's what! So go ahead and share!Never, ever, under any circumstances, use the cubicle in a public toilet which is furthest from the entry. As a cleaner, I believe I am fairly well-qualified to say that if someone is going to urinate all over the seat, defecate on the seat or in the cistern, wipe faeces over the walls, leave a porno with sticky pages, spray their diarrhoea, or leave behind their junkie needle for someone else to get AIDS, 95% of the time it's going to be in the end cubicle. So don't use it.

If you and your wife have kids, and you're both blue eyed. If your kid has brown eyes, then she's been up to something in her spare time.
Lol, even though that's funny, it's also false xD. However if both of you have white skin and the kid looks afro-american, then she is in trouble.

Don't listen to Lombax, if he gives advice.
That, might actually be the most useful piece of advice I have ever gotten on the internets

Uhm... the eye thing is actually very true.
Could recessive genes play a role? Or is it just limited to blue eyes?

It's about recessive genes indeed. If you have blue eyes you have 2 recessive genes that give blue eyes. This means that all children of two blue-eyed parent will have blue eyes.

So blue eyes are recessive and dominant? :O

No, blue eyes are recessive and brown eyes are dominant. To give an example:
Let's say blue eyes have the letter 'a' and brown has a capital 'A'.
You have a pair of genes for each trait (that the right word?).
aa = blue eyes
Aa = brown eyes
AA = brown eyes
Which means, if you have blue eyes, you kid can only get and 'a' from you. If this is the case for both parents, the kid should get 'aa'.
Hope that's understandable ;)
Edit:
Heh. I have a degree in genetics. If I got that wrong I reeeeeely wasn't paying attention. This is actually one of the reasons why the example of eye colour isn't used to teach kids in High School basic genetics any more. Too many adoptees or kids with wandering parents. I'd love the chance to waffle on about the epistasis and incomplete dominance traits of eye colour but generally blue and brown eyes do follow Mendelian traits.
The thing about blue eyes being recessive and brown being dominant is what I have been taught. I'm not sure how my education compares to anyone else's, but I'm pretty sure you're "ahead".
Edit again:
I do realize that the pattern I have been taught doesn't always apply, and that it's more advanced than that. For example, this is only two colors we're talking about.
