Is there any evidence at the end that there could be a Portal 3?

I'm not saying any facts we're provided are proof for any of the ridiculous theories I listed in the post. But I sure do hope that Chell is Cave/Caroline's daughter.Eh, I don't really hope that. It makes a simple and pleasant theory (i.e. GLaDOS pretends to go back to hating Chell, but still secretly harbours a fondness for her) into a kind of Freudian nightmare. I mean, you're free to wish whatever you want, but I like the simpler explanation just fine.
Is there any evidence at the end that there could be a Portal 3?Not really. Probably better that way.

Though I admit I am curious as to what happens after the end. :|

This. It's pretty much like the Assassin's Creed games. Lots of questions from previous games answered, a *!@#-ton of new ones coming up.

That's what I was wondering. Because:
People are using the fact that there is a corn/wheatfield in her view as proof that civilization is still in existance. But as was pointed out by I believe Glados that Aperture used such fields to absorb light from the sun and harness it for those light bridges. So the field in question could just be property of Aperture Science and maintained by little robots. It's not entirely out of the question. After all, if something like Glados exists, why not something simpler? Also, I think she's going on foot pretty much anywhere.

Or, it could just be wild wheat. Didn't look to me like there was any pattern to its layout or farm equipment nearby.

At least she's got her companion cube to keep her company. That part made me laugh

Oh, another thing. If you look up the meaning of the name Caroline, you will sh*t a brick.
Caroline \c(a)-roli-ne, car(o)-line\ as a girl's name is pronounced KARE-a-line, KARE-a-lin. It is of Old German origin, and the meaning of Caroline is "free man".
This is precisely why I think that Chell could easily be Cave and Caroline's daughter, and that Caroline's maiden name was Freeman. And consequently Chell and Gordon are brother and sister (or at least half-siblings).

Lolol.
And no, just because Caroline means "free man" does not mean her last name was Freeman. My name is Michael, but my last name is not Whoislikethelord.

So? I'm just saying that they could be brother and sister. Meaning of name doesn't prove, but it's clever of Valve to name the character such way it could spark wild theories regarding said character.

Yes, it is, Mr Whoislikethelord. But I'm sure they picked the name because of the connections.

Eh, I don't really think so.
And I really dislike wild theories. That might be why I'm so against that.
And also, Gordon Freeman is apparently from Seattle, Washington, not
Ohio
Michigan.

I just meant they intentionally picked the name because of Gordon.

Could be intentional, could be coincidence. However, I think speculation that
Caroline is Gordon/Chell's mother is pretty unbased. You either have to treat it from a fictional perspective, or a metafictional perspective, but you can't do both without Word of God. You're assuming that since Caroline's first name
means
"free man," that then the last name of some yet unspecified man she married
must
be Freeman, and that she also has to be Chell's mother.
It's really much simpler, and more satisfying if you ask me, to just take it at face value, rather than imagining some secret conspiracy by the developers.

But
"Freeman" Freeman would be hilarious

MAYBE GORDON IS ALSO A CLONE THAT WAS TESTED JUST LIKE CHELL WAS, MAYBE GORDON IS A CLONE OF CAVE JOHNSON WHO WAS MADE WHEN CAVE WAS IN HIS EARLY THIRTIES. AND MAYBE IT JUST SO HAPPENS THAT GORDON PERSONALITY WAS GIVEN TO THE COMPANION CUBE AND NOW PERSONALITY OF A CLONE OF GORDON FREEMAN IS INSIDE CHELL'S COMPANION CUBE AND THEY ARE TOGETHER.
Now that could be an intriguing wild theory.

I was thinking the same.
