Yeah the front end of those and the hard containers (leather saddle bags only on a bike if you need em) make that bike look...well ugly.

Agreed : /
A guy at work just got one of these puppies:
Harley Davidson XR1200x
If I was into motorcycles, I would probably get one too.

That's pretty sexy. I'm terrified of bikes, so you'll never catch me with one, for sure.
I'm really missing my Prelude now. I've been watching Initial D again and I just wish I could go out and do something stupid.

But,
Preludes
:D
They have the capability to look as ugly as any other car if riced out.

I actually don't mind them. They are for the few in the rice crowd that actually realize power should be going to the rear wheels instead of the front.

Preludes are FF.
The only Honda "car" (read: not truck / SUV) that isn't FF is the S2000.

Whoops, I knew that. What the hell was I thinking of? MR2?

MR2 are mid-engine and real-wheel drive / AWD I think. Toyota used to do some crazy ^&*!.

It's a
REDNECK CAR
! Pic is several years old from right after we had finished the paintjob ourselves (this car is sort of a family project and has been built and rebuilt a few times now, hubby inherited it so it's with us for the long haul)
About time to paint it again, we're thinking flat black this time, maybe something custom on the hood if I feel like it. Sadly it is staying in the garage full time right now due to timing issues :(

They are definitely MR, although that doesn't change the fact that the most recent one was just a hairdresser's car (albeit a damn good-looking one!)

El Camino! I really like them, actually. Flat-black would look really nice. You could be really silly and put a Firebird emblem on the front xD
What kind of motor does it have?

It's just got a v6 in it right now because we were using it for a daily driver for a while and needed it to not suck quite as much gas. Hubs wants to go with a 327 I think next time. It's something of a frankenstein under the hood as it's been v6 to v8 back to v6...we go the "dazzle with bs" route and just put lots of chrome parts so it's not too noticeable lolz
I was thinking more a grim reaper on the hood, use just a tiny bit of gloss paint in the highlights to make it pop. Then again...requires energy which after a paintjob on the car I don't have much left of.

Grim Reaper could be cool.
Definitely need to get a small-block back in it, that's for sure.

Why a 327 when a 350 is much more plentiful and will bolt right up? Plus the aftermarket support for it is friggen endless. It is the exact same block and bore as the 327, just a different stroke and later on, a medium journal.
With these old cars, one adage holds true:
There's no replacement for displacement.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like a mid 80's 5th gen. So that means you either have the old Buick 231 v6 in there, or the 229 Chevy v6. Or, if you're really strange people, you swapped in the 200 CID v6... But no one could be crazy enough to swap a 327 v8 for a 200 v6.

it's a 229 chevy..as to why 327 i don't know, I just make it pretty and comment when something looks very wrong I leave most of the mechanics to him :P
Edit: My guess is he knows where he can get a specific motor, if he were putting his ideal engine in it would be a new 350 crate

Threw my Jeep on a dyno at a friend of the families shop:
119 hp at 5.4k rpm
154 tq at 3.6k rpm
lawl.
It made 190 hp and 231 tq at the flywheel 20 years ago. I guess with the age and the big tires and no gear swap it suffered.
I think stock in 1991 it made 172 hp and 210 tq at the wheels, so with age and modifications, I lost about 50 horses and 60 lb/ft of torque.
/facepalm

Sounds about right. My original Prelude motor definitely wasn't getting the full 135hp that it was supposed to have. The newer motor I put in it, though, definitely did lol

At the flywheel, at least. A lot of people are fooled by the little trick manufacturers pull by measuring power at the flywheel instead of at the wheels.
My 190 hp I6 makes only 120 :( I thought it would do a little better than that, lol.
