Here's my absolute favorite group:
Tank: Feral druid (good multiadd tanking, MotW, innervate, rebirth, usually drums, initial CC with hibernate) - this would be me
Healer: Paladin (blessings, rez, good at self defense with high armor, hammer, bubble)
DPS 1: Demo Warlock (healthstones, seduce, soulstone, fear, banish, aoe, and shadowfury!!!!!!!!!)
DPS 2: Mage (any spec): (refreshments, poly, amplify/dampen magic, aoe)
DPS 3: Shadow Priest: (Vampiric Touch, shackle, mind control, fortitude, shadow resist, rez)
even the 7 man pulls in heroic SH can easily be done: poly, seduce, tank 3, mind control 1 and have it tank the last one
for everyone who didn't put a warlock in their group, try doing the end of heroic blood furnace without a banish, IT SUCKS (not to mention the demon pulls in mech)

Prot pally, three fire mages, and a resto shaman. Almost everything degenerates into an AoE pull, you can sheep/Counterspell the ranged mobs, and the shaman can stick to the caster totems. I can't think of any boss that would present any special difficulty, though a few would certainly be a bit challenging. Additionally, some trash (notably the Infernals at the end of Arcatraz) would be highly irritating.

You only have 1 CC. Try running any Hellfire heroic with that and it'll be a wipefest.
*runs H BF and Ramps* Done.
heroic BF and Ramps are too easy, you don't need more than 1 CC imo

If you're overgeared, any instance is easy. With a group that would still use drops from the instance, as opposed to a badge run group, you'd need more than one CC.
wasn't overgeared, got a belt from the final boss, couple gems and couple blues (healing for offspec and trash tanking gear)
still easily done.

Let's see- I posted oringally 45 mins ago, you posted half an hour later claiming to have run H BF and Ramps in that time. 15 mins an instance, eh? Riiiiiiight.
And I notice you didn't mention H SH- so clearly my orignal point stands, which was that the group posted above with only 1 cc cannot run any heroic b/c there are a bunch that require more than 1 CC.
didn't run it in that 45 min, i was just saying that it's pretty easy to do, and you said any, which means that I could have just used 1 instance as an example and i would be right and you would be wrong. it's called a direct proof
i did try running SH with 1 CC though, we got up to the first boss and then I had to leave because my parents wanted me to do some chores

This personally would be my overall perfect setup to run all heroic instances:
Protection Paladin
Holy Paladin
Mage
Mage
Warlock
Reasoning for this combination of classes are as follows:
I want to make an overall comment to say that I am not saying any class can be replaced in the group. Just that I personally would use the following setup to make every single heroic easy. With a well balanced group you should, if each player does in fact have a brain, be able to clear every heroic.
A well geared prot pally makes AoE tanking in all instances easiest of all tank classes. Given the DPS in the group provided you will have the option to completely FF (Focus Fire) on single targets or AoE entire pulls. I have run every single Heroic with a prot pally and have yet to have a good player fail at tanking any of the encounters.
I personally feel Holy paladins are god sends to 5 mans. Rarely have I found that massive AoE healing is needed, Especially if your dps are ranged in Heroics. With the DPS setup that this party has the totems provided by a resto shaman would not be as useful as the 2nd Blessing. There is no reason to have a restro druid with the heavy amount of ranged DPS, rarely would HoTs be superior to spot healing on the Mage(s)/Lock.
The 2 mages can be any combination of specs, as each and every combination of the 2 would bring new / useful abilities to the raid. I am not going to go in dept in these combinations, unless further asked. Poly is by far the strongest CC in Heroics and has the most advantages given distance, duration, and control. Mages are also extremely strong FF dps
AND
AoE dps. Being able to burn down single targets in grouped pulls in less than 10sec while still being able to CC without losing DPS time. Mages can also easily kite, group CC (Frost nova, Elemental Nova), and protect themselves if hate is pulled/being pulled (Blink, Invisibility, IB, Various Shields, CoC, DB, BW...)
Warlocks complete this groups CC component, Seduction, Fears, Enslave, Banish... and Good DPS all wrapped into a a nice package. Also Strong DPS on group pulls (SoC) and strong dps on larger single targets (Massive Dots).
