holy priest, even though they are squishy, the AoE healing comes in handy in many situations.
me, (prot paladin) all my groups enjoyed my AoE tanking
rogue, the interrupts are too handy to pass by, i prefer combat
mage for AoE and CC, due to the AoE capabilities of a mage, it's better than a hunter on average of instances, doesn't matter
warlock for HS, SS, DoT's, affliction and a bit in demo for the HS

1. Paladin (protection) - Paladin tank is nice as we all know.
2. Paladin (holy) - Paladins are nice healers and in this group there would be two blessings.
3. Priest (shadow) - Good damage and since there are only mana users in this party it's a good benefit, and the stamina buff is always welcome.
4. Mage (any specc) - Good damage dealer both aoe and single target, intellect buff is very welcome since this is a "caster" group.
5. Warlock (affliction) - Due to paladin aoe tanking it's just to dot everything while priest and mage single target, whipe recovery is also nice.

Protection Paladin
Retribution Paladin
Retribution Paladin
Retribution Paladin

That would be cool to see. probably wouldn't work though with all the instances

I have a prot pally and an affliction warlock.
On my pally I'd prefer the group to consist of a mage for aoe, shadowpriest for mana regen, hunter for MD and shaman for totems / earthshield.
Whilst on my warlock, I prefer a pally tank (so that I can get salv), shadowpriest to boost my dmg, a mage to port us out afterwards, and a resto druid. On my warlock, I prefer hots than direct heals since the only damage i generally take is lifetap.
The common denominator there is shadow priests. I love them.

The best group I run heroics with is:
Prot Warrior
Resto Druid
Frost Mage (me)
Beastmastery Hunter
Affliction Warlock
~4 CC (Hibernate, Poly, Trap, Seduce/Banish) is incredibly nice. Resto druid has had no problems with mana or keeping people up. Pretty sure we've done every single heroic instance successfully.

Hmm. Dont think one group could do all heroics. Or many groups could do alle heroics, just some heroics would be easiere than others. And that is how it always will be. And funny thing. Not one resto shammy mentioned. ^^ But..
MT: Prot war (Could also be any other tank)
Dps 1/OT: Feral Druid (Maybe a pala, but not war, prot specced war can't dps! ^^)
Dps 2: Mage/warlock/hunter (Because 1 CC there can be renewed.)
Dps 3: Hmm. Any dps, doesn't need to be one there can CC, bc you have an OT
Healer: Could be any healer class, but I would pref. a priest or shammy. Bc they can AoE heal, or a druid bc it can HoT both tanks up.
The reason I have chosen to take 2 tanks with, is that in heroic SH you have to fight a lot of mobs at same time. And instead of having 3 CC and a tank there can tank 2-3. It is easiere too have another tank with.
