As most other classes have their thread for off-topic discussions - I thought we should have one here for Shamans, so we can discuss the real issues of the world, and how we can (passively) restore it... or just ramble a bit and have fun!

So I herd you liek mukips!
Sorry couldn't help it, but yes, this thread is necessary for us. The only classes that don't have an off-topic are dks (newest class so makes sense) and warriors (
Single minded
class, who needs off-topic =P) A few classes just recently made theirs. Let's follow that trend.

I'm not really interested in the programming in WoW, even though I'm a computer scientist :P

you have say you are computer scientist right?
on what you are working?
At the moment... just finishing my Bachelor degree, which I'm so close to ending as I possibly could. A month or two perhaps. However, I have grown to liking it a lot, as it gives me a nice analytical way of looking at things. It's great really.

I just started at a junior college last semester and still don't know what my major will be. I'm thinking about chemical engineering or robotics. As for programming, I know C++, Java, VB, oracle, and currently teaching myself Python.
We could name this the "Fire nova totem: Sparking interest in off-topics"
I know it's a little nerdy, but it fits what I know =P

That Sentry Totem thing was a good idea, changed it - always good to relish in memories like that.

Can easily be combined - robotics and computer science at least. Once you get comfortable with it, every language is just a matter of "right, how do I use functions, if's, for's and do objects. Python is incredibly easy to learn, but it can be a bit frustrating in its simplicity at times.

My Lightning Capacitor is bigger than yours. So there. In any case, that title would be... inappropriate, to say the least. :P

i am in a programing University we are learn now about c/c++ programing and it find it a bit hard to remmeber and learn what every code it is but i find it very cool how programing it is working XD
To be honest, the best part about programming is that you don't have to be able to remember all of the different things - as long as you get the logic behind it, it's all good. Copy-paste isn't as bad as one might think, it's just using it good.
for me the most intersting programing laught it is java i will see how it is but les first learn c and after the onhy thing XD
I'm not completely sure what you're saying here, but Java and C are definitely both good languages - they just have different advantages. Granted, you will always have people that claim one of them is superior, but it isn't really that black and white.
