I wanna add that I quite enjoyed Dissidia as well. But not as much as the ones I voted for in the poll.Should still have voted for it heh.
Done!
Checked the poll, and I noticed I could edit my votes zomg! :D
Btw I noticed a few handheld games missing, such as Crisis Core. Not that it matters, I didn't really like the gameplay of it anyways

I thought it was good but the combat system was boring plus i got stuck on some island with a evil fish boss and just couldn't get any further. The game was alright so far, i mean even for a farfetched story, I was hooked.
Like i said before it was just the combat system. The rest of the game was cool, and i would have completed it if it wasn't for bad design on that island and the evil fish.
heh i just went upstairs and found the disks all i need now is ps1 xD
ePSXe emulator :)
I was gonna try it before but i really am crap at that sort of thing.

Eh, Crisis Core, Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus would all fall under the Final Fantasy 7 universe; could have put all three in, but figured it really wasn't needed as such. And yeah, it's easy to edit the votes heh.

FF8 all the way, I have been playing it off and on through my psp trying to get all the triple triad cards. I used to be a game master on a online version of triple triad back '99-'03 it was a awesome community to be part of and of course if you loved triple triad it was a awesome game to play online.

Even thought it was fairly obvious which ones I voted for, since mine were the first lol, suppose I should still put down why eh?
FF1: Very first RPG I ever played, loved the game, hated the Nintendo though, as the random bug where it would wipe out the save files just pissed the hell out of me...and Chaos...good Goddess Chaos was just pure brutal if you weren't prepared.
FF2: I enjoyed the game, but was easy to get lost and wander into the wrong area. The stat system took a while to get used to it as well, but I didn't end up playing the game till the remake for the PS1 came out.
FF3: To be fair, I actually haven't beaten it all the way through yet, but over all, I do enjoy what I have played, and I love the Job Class system. I know some hate it, but meh; once you got used to it, was fun to actually level them up.
FF4: Epic game, loved it. The story, the characters, the world, the villains, all well done, well written, and even for playing it first on the SNES with the horribad translation at time, still enjoyed it.
FF5: Yet another one that I haven't played through all the way. Still, it was good, and the Job class system was nice.
FF6: Pure epic; one of my all time favorites. Again, played it on the SNES first, but still loved it.
FF7: I am a Sevenhead, enjoyed it all, except for some of the grinding to max out the Materia. The side quests and open endedness of the world before the Crater was enjoyable...but I still hate the Ruby Weapon.
FF7 Last Order and Advent Children Complete: For a continuation of the game, excellent. For a video game movie, best one out there. And yes, I do love the Sephiroth clones. Last Order, even with the gun fu at the end, and the downer ending, was an amazing retelling of the Nibelheim incident.
FF7: Dirge of Cerberus: I know people hate on this game, and call it bad...and I can agree. However, I still loved it, and was great to play as Vincent in a shooting game. I also like the villains; a group of well done bad guys who actually had a reason for what they were doing.
FF7 Crisis Core: Again, haven't played it through all the way...but I do like Zack. The villain, what I have seen of him so far, is interesting...to a point anyways; lotta of Seph spillover.
FF8: I know people *!@#$ed and moaned about the 'realism' to this game, but *!@#, it was beautiful. Yes, the story was hard to understand at times, but once you had actually played through it twice, everything clicked. I loved the idea of the Sorceresses and how the threat echoed through time from the Future to the Past. I will admit the romance angle was very heavy handed, but meh; actually seeing character development in Squall was worth any awkward moments there. And the best scene is still the Academy dance.
FF9: My favorite FF game hands down. I do share the complaint that the game was too 'cutesy' at times, with the half-animal races(come on, hippo people?), but the fact that it introduced the Black Mage war dolls, the Black Waltz v3, and the Genomes more then made up for it. Kuja is my all time favorite villain in the FF universe, and watching him pulling off what only one other villain did(Kefka) was incredible. The fact that he was living on borrowed time just increased his bad assery....too bad they had to do the Space Flea from Nowhere approach at the end though. The finale of that game is the best one out there. This game, out of any other, used the power of the PS1 to it's full strength and power; it was the best choice for the finale game.
FFX: I liked X, wasn't my favorite but also wasn't the worse. I did enjoy the story, but Tidus and Yuna got really grating. Though, the game does have my all time favorite FF Theme: Otherworld. The Ending...meh.
FFX-2: Strangely, I enjoyed X-2 a lot more then I did X, so go figure.....but that might have been due to the Dress spheres heh.
FF12: Another I need to finish off(and actually almost there). Yes, a lot of the game is on rails, same as X and X-2(and apparently 13) but the fact that you can stop at any time and head off to do the literal hundreds of extra quests, hunts, gathering, and the rest more then makes up for it. I just had fun going around hunting for Rare spawns at one point, trying to fill out the Monster Compendium. I also enjoyed that the Lucavi of FFT showed up as the Summons.
Haven't played 11, 13 or 14 so can't critique them.
FF Tactics War of the Lions: Good Goddess; this game was great. The story was amazing, with the religious and moral questions keeping you going. I loved most of the characters(a few were useless). And the villains...my goddess, the Villains; the Lucavi are some of the best made and executed I have ever seen and still rank above some of the others in games I have played since.
FF Tactics Advanced and A2: Not bad, and they are 'sequels' in names only to the original but are still good games. The races were interesting, and the over all conflicts for both were well done.
I have played some Crystal Chronicle games...and wasn't impressed. They are good, but meh, they could have been much better.
Dissidia and D012: I love this fighting game series, I will admit that. And as I said, it's the descendant of Ehrgiez, one of my favorite fighting games on the PS1(the only other one I loved more was Evil Zone). They let you face off your favorite heroes and villains and just see them beat the hell out of each other. The over all story, of the endless Waves is actually fairly deep for a game designed for the 20th Anniversary....but that's to be expected of Squareenix heh; even if the game is total fan service, they'll still make sure it works.
FF Mystic Quest does not get a mention up on the poll mainly because I absolutely hated that game: too easy to beat, way too short, and no reply value at all.
As for the 'missing' games, such as the Adventures and Legends series: Never played them much, so if you did enjoy them, I am sorry they didn't get a mention here.

Muahahaha!
Having said that, you could go too - it's heading to Vancouver in July:

I'm not sure what to expect from the FF11/12/13/14 music though. I haven't played the games, and as such, I haven't introduced myself to the music.
I didn't buy the meet-and-greet ticket though, sadly. I'm going with my girlfriend, who bought me the tickets for Valentines Day, and I didn't think the right way to repay that would be to fanboy all over Nobuo Uematsu backstage :P I'd definitely have gotten him to sign one of my Piano Collections albums/scores though.

The FF11 opening music is incredible. And waiting on the third Distant World disc to be available for download; I have the other two. And yes, I 'could' go...but I am in Ontario Squish lol.

I see what you did there.
I hate the game; if people like it, they can make their own poll and add it in lol.
Also, just realized forget to rate FF12: Revenant Wings: It's a good tactics game, with the allowing of summoning units by the Leader units; which include Vaan, Balthier, Fran and the rest. Haven't beaten that one either, but so far what I have played, continues the story of 12 with Vaan getting his own airship and traveling around with Penelo as a Sky Pirate. Over all, it's not FFT, but it's a better successor then the FFTA games lol.

Eh, it's only ~4000km, what's the big deal? ^_^;;
Yeah, I forgot you're in Ontario. Chicago or Baltimore are a lot closer though, if you don't mind a short jaunt into the US.

1-9 all great. 10 was good, but overrated. 7, and 8 were both overrated as well, but, still great. I would say 6 has become the most overrated of the lot by reviewers. I've seen several reviewers rate it as the best. True, it was great, but far from the best. Not that I would say 7,8, or 10 were the best either. I think every numbered FF after 10 has been disappointing. This is just my opinion, though, so don't go getting your undies in a twist people.
