I listen to Metal on occasion (mainly Rammstein, with a little Metallica in there too), and a bit of Pop (mainly just remixes of Lady Gaga songs... and the Macarena), but I primarily just listen to Rock (classic, mostly) and electronic music of several types (from Bubblegum pop like Caramelldansen and the Llevan polka to Goa Trance and old-school Techno).
I ended up putting Techno/Trance, Rock, and Pop (because even though I don't listen to a lot of
contemporary
pop, a lot of my music borders on Pop).

I voted for all but hardcore punk - although I'm not certain that some of the songs I classify as 'punk', 'folk', and 'world' fall exactly into those categories, I consider Green Day, Mumford and Sons, and Sons of Somerled/Rai to fall into them respectively.

No kidding.

I voted, my tastes of music is mainly 90s rock, alternative, and punk. Vocal Trance, jpop and jrock although its rare that i listen to either of those these days i still enjoy it. And of course 70s rock. At night I tend to either load up my 90s music playlist on youtube or pandora or goto DI.fm for some Vocal Trance.
Edit: I just wanted to add I hate people who like todays crap pop music but still say Techno and any sub genre of it is crap.

Not to me, "pop" performers imo these days are in the words of Micheal Bolton "No talent ass clowns"

Semi-related question: Anyone know where
Low
would fall into these categories? :P

Alternative Rock. How you'd further classify them, I'm not sure.

This is why he separated punk and hardcore punk. Nothing against Flogging Molly, its just a very separate genre from bands like TSOL and Discharge.
I voted metal and hardcore punk. I'm into most extreme metal types. Too many to list here.

I think it's rather funny the order of favorites goes something like
Rock > Metal > Techno > Classical
That's kind of a funny leap imo.
