lol
How ironic....
I can't write serious villians, short of Xalgon.
Mostly because he has motivation..... Which took two RP's worth to develope....

Oh dear god.
I can't write serious heroes.
I get guilty when I make villains. >.>
All the heroes that I find easy to write have either sociopathic tendencies, are insane, or are heroes in name only and eventually turn 'evil'. I just can't make their conversations work the right way. Five stories I'm attempting to work on, and in every one a wall incessantly springs up going by the name of 'conversation'.

Heroes with problems are the best heroes. Cases in point: Batman. Deadpool. Ironman.
Superman is lame because he's so freaking perfect and has so many powers.
I don't use heroes often anyway, and if I do they definately have problems (Ivan's Bloodhowl problem, Ormador and Nilon's obession with revenge) the one hero I have that is truely a hero of generosity and good will is Thragg, and we all see how often he is used.
I prefer villians anyway. You can draw and audience's attention with a cool hero, but you can make them love what you create if you have an awesome villian.
EDIT: Sociopaths make the greatest heroes, don't they Hyper?

What's wrong with sociopathic insane heroes? I have tons of them! XD
I need some more linear heroes to balance it out, show a contrast so that there is a certain amount of grounded perspective about how far this person has gone. It's just so annoying to get them right, to keep them interesting and not turning them into cliches or bland cardboard characters.
It's basically trying to keep them a character, and not just a plot device.

Thagg has a problem. He's guilty, and more importantly, old.
I've also gained a bit of love for neutral characters just trying to get by.
Well, he's the one character I have without a definate dark side. Maybe Jason would be a better example? An excellent example, in fact, as he even plans to give up fighting after the Lich King is dealt with.
Besides that: monsters. Every single character I have is one in some fashion or another.

Dark side is fine, dark side is interesting. Blinding white can become irritating, but, that's only if there's no dark in the picture. Even a pure white character can be interesting, say, perhaps when set against grey?
That's why I write them. The trouble arises when theory tries to make the move into practice.

If I had the game I'd go Inquisitor. There is nothing more satisfying than frying your enemies to death with a fistful or Force Lightning. That's how I've rolled in every Star Wars game I've ever played, that's how I'll continue to roll.
