Well, as long as you keep body mass change believable and don't grow unobtainium shell and phlebotinum claws, I'm fine with that.
lolz
I was trying to xonsider what shapes would make the most sense. I mean, NWN has Manticore, dragon, zombie, skeleton, gargoyle, and so on. It really gets a little random when you can become a dark elf...

Dragon is OP. And please, spare me your 'dragons and mortals are evenly matched' theory. Ten bucks says that, until the other Terrans can do something like that, everyone here will call it OP.
And turning into an undead is just... weird. I mean, I can see advantages, but something tells me it's not really druidic.

Hmmm...
Forms that seem to make sense to me...
Standard druid forms (Bear, Cat, Turtle, Stag, Snake, ect.)
Gargoyle (Since they are seemingly alive)
Maybe more diverse animal forms? Like gryphons, crocs, raptors, ect?
I don't think it would be good to have him turn into other humanoids...

Manbearpig.
About gargoyles, the only ones we see in-game are undead already, so they must have been alive at some point. Although whether they can turn to stone while being alive is up to debate.

Alright then....
It is still a long way in coming, just figuring it out now.

I think the Gargoyles are meant to be constructs like Abominations, especially considering the transforming to stone portion of them.
Well they were undead in WC3 and WoW, and the RPG had them as a type of construct too.

Maybe they are some sort of elemetal?
They don't look 'patched together' to me...

Gargoyles are pretty much semi-undead...diverse animal forms I could buy though.
I can't remember what classification they were in Wc3.
Undead, for balance reasons. Death Coil, Death Pact, Animate Dead - all worked on them.

Well don't forget the Scourge came from the Legion, who are used to creating Constructed races; such as the Infernals and Abyssals. Entirely possible that they forged the Gargoyles in the depths of Icecrown, or they were like the original
Obsidian Destroyer
and something the Scourge found deep in the Nerubian lands.

Who knows; but if the nerubian lands are ever really going to be opened up(which supposedly was one of the thoughts for the revamp of Northrend), we may find out eventually. But due to the undead aspect, they are probably outside of the transformation properties....plus, would you really want to change into an undead anyways?

If I had the means to revert, certainly yes. No pain, no fear, superhuman strength, durability, senses, no need to rest, breathe, eat or drink, and a
carte blanche
on casting spells that would otherwise ruin my body.

This.
Not to mention things like banshees which can possess people.

Until you walk into someone throwing around the Holy Light of course, which means you'll start to feel pain like mad. Also as for the Banshee possession......yeah, are you really sure you'd want to do that? Since it is a permanent thing and if the host body dies, you die with it; that's what Sylvanas more or less did to her body during Warcraft 3.

Or, you could, you know, shift back.
And how would you deal with the massive physical trauma that can't be healed when you shapeshift back?
Deal with it first?

If you could past the pain; suppose to be really horrible from what the Blues have been saying in regards to the Forsaken using the Light.

Deal with it first?
But you are dead; you'd stitch yourself back together sure, but how does that help your living part if something important was destroyed?
