Pick any class, they're all incredibly fun to play in the end game.
Mage is either a jedi, hurling people around and slowing them to a crawl, or a healer with a regeneration aura that lets him shrug off most damage. Or both - and that's not counting the basic, non-specialization trees.
Rogue can either be unhittable due to some 70% evasion, or one-shot everything short of a boss.
Warrior - my favorite - is so badass he cleaves everything in a 120° in front of him with basic attacks, let alone all the awesome AoE skills.

I haven't played DA:O yet... But I'm absolutely thrilled by the fighting system. Engaging, fun, ludicrous gibs here and there and
cross-class combos
. Bethany/Anders hurl a cone of cold, making your enemy brittle, you mighty strike them... WHAM. If it's a mook, it's dead. Spectacularly so.

Not to mention, "Wait am I taking damage? ...Why am I dead? Warrior? Warrior?"
Hullo, tactical pause? Was it present in Origins?

Charge, then. And I'm not talking about special abilities. To cut distance, warrior charges at the enemy, while rogue either make a darn impressive leap or a roll.

Well I dunno. I'm playing on Hard/Nightmare, and, with potions as an emergency, I only let someone die if it's the end of the combat and it's obvious I've won already.
Then again, there's that fight vs. two revenants and a tank-tough skeleton...

Does DA:O have anti-darkspawn potion that makes the Warden's eyes glow white?

I also liked the crafting system in DA:2 - you find, say, lyrium, and it's there forever, you don't have to run back to the Deep Roads to take it. Granted, you need to find six lyrium veins but hey! Been there, done that, happily forgotten.

Yup. So you don't have that agonizing choice between the Elves or the Werewolves hardened by the infinite supply of herbal whatever.
