Wouldn't the lightsaber simply keep cutting?
First time I saw it I thought she was doing a pull up on a bar, my mistake.

Think the blade would keep on going, since it would have the user's weight behind it; don't forget, these are the same weapons that can hack through pretty much anything(well except for that weird mineral that shorts them out and Vong biotech) and not lose momentum when it comes out the other side.

Once for the money, twice for the charm.

I like you lightsaber mechanics, Hyper.
In my mind, swinging something like what Adams is describing would simply be too awkward. I can't see how you wouldn't pull an Anakin trying to swing it.
*Hands out Ice Cream*

Well it's true; no where in the EU do you ever see someone trying to climb with a saber: that's what other materials are for after all. Could have your Jedi using something else for that part.
Edit: Yes, that stuff.
In my mind, swinging something like what Adams is describing would simply be too awkward. I can't see how you wouldn't pull an Anakin trying to swing it.Watch any fight from any of the movies and you'll notice the blades keep going; from Darth Maul being chopped in half, to all the endless limbs and body parts flying everywhere. Even see it in one particularly darker comic: A Sith stabs someone with a saber, they fall, the Sith does not turn off the blade....and they bisect the body.

Well, the movies were made with special effects blades. The actors would have needed take after take to make the momentem loss apparent.
And a comic isn't a good source... still pictures and all...
