Logan shook his head. "For one, they and we are not fake now. Just a different kind of real." He explained with a slightly angered tone in his voice. "And we were never who we think we were. They are still on Earth, living their happy lives. We are stuck here; living our own."
Sasha surrendered, also returning to sleep.

Illia smiled as she carefully opened Cora's mouth letting Sasha move her head freely. Loki jumped off the gryphon and started to chase a mouse running around Logan and Luke.

"It's the truth." Logan said, shrugging. He watched Loki, careful not to step on the whelp. "You remember what was written as happening to you. So it was written, so it is."

Logan shrugged. "You've been awefully quiet." He said, looking at Illia. "Something up?"

"You're not some character in a story." She said looking over at Logan. "We're real."

"I know, but it's the best way I can explain it." Logan nodded. "We are a different kind of real that the other us, who still exsist on Earth." He smiled. "And I wouldn't have it any other way."

"I just don't like hearing how you might not be real and this is all just some story.." She said.

"It's hard for me to explain." Logan admitted. "But I think that what happens is that somehow the other us knows what happens here and write it down." He shrugged. "Have you read any of the stories that scribes write down when they travel with someone? It's a story, but it actually happened. That is like us."

"Excellent . . ."
Green mist began to swirl around Alex, entrapping him in a small vortex.
~
Maxwell and Isirami tumbled through the Nether. He struggled to grab a hold of a thread, anything that would bring him back to reality. Images of different beings rushed past him, some even unrecognizable to him.
They seemed to fall for hours. Then days. Then months. It was an eternity.
It wasn't until a single hand appeared through the swirling mist, and grabbed on to them, did the eternity end. The hand yanked the two out of the Nether, and on to the floor of a small, wooden room. Maxwell frantically tried to stand up, expecting the tall figure of Locke to be stooping over them.
"Rest child. There will be a time to make haste."
The voice was soft, soothing, something Maxwell wasn't expecting. He collapsed on to the ground, and instantly fell asleep.

"Power," Locke stated simply. "What is there that you can't obtain with power?" Fel energy arced around Alex, teh vortex growing stronger by the second.

Locke's eye twitched.
"And yet people buy in to it anyway. 'They' want those with power! Why not marry the richest, most powerful man in the world! Or . . . would you rather live in a hovel preached precariously on a cliff?"
His eyes glowed a ghastly green hue.
