I would have killed the critters....
Yeah, someone eventually ran back and killed them all to get us all out of combat long enough to be able to kick him. What a colossal waste of time, though.

It takes awhile of getting the "suck out", before there's a solid group.
I tend to just go in as heals with a tank I know. He chain pulls until my mana runs out and it never runs out. Basically this mean you don't leave room for stupid :P

You can't fix stupid, but you can
attempt to
replace it :D
Fixed. Regardless of queue times, his second point about knowing mechanics is definitely relevant. If you have a DPS who doesn't know mechanics at all, well, then a kick is almost guaranteed to result in an improvement, even if there's a loss of DPS output. If you have a DPS who at least KIND of knows the mechanics, you might be running a 50/50 chance of improvement. At those odds, I'd be willing to risk it, if there weren't that vote kick lockout, but since there is... You're probably better off attempting to resolve the problem in group and giving it another go.

Wow, I had no idea I'd get this many responses! lol
Yeah, I suppose my death was my fault. But the point is that the boss was almost dead, all dps and the tank were still alive, and we won the fight.
I guess I'm just frustrated because I'm failing to see why I was kicked when we, as a group, did not fail. And the tank had just replaced one that was undergeared for this fight!
Also he mentioned my HPS like it matters in a heroic. He said I was at 6k HPS. I'm not sure if that's low or not, but I've never had a complaint before, or even a rough time healing anything for that matter.
And it's not like I didn't know the mechanics. I just made a mistake like everyone else.

Your HPS is extremely relevant to the fight, especially now, where mechanics can stress either your throughput, your mana, or both.

That
is
extremely low. If people are not taking damage you can of course not heal. If everyone is topped off and you are at 6k hps then it's fine.
But if people are sitting at half health and you still don't go over 6k hps then you are doing something very wrong.
Most of the time people are taking damage so higher numbers are needed.
Just as a comparison: During most runs on my (not raid geared, average ilvl around 345) alt I pull between 8k and 10k hps on most fights, that's just the damage intake of the group. I just recently ran with a total chaos group that liked standing in fire (they were 4 guildies and messing around a bit, the chat was funny so I didn't mind that much) and my hps went up to around 16k in some fights.
If the most you can pull is 6k then you should read some more guides and make sure you are using the right spells and that you are maximizing your globals (which still is important as a healer).
By the way I recently tanked Vortex Pinnacle on my Druid with a Paladin healer. He put out around 5k hps on the first few trash pulls. I had to use all cooldowns because of it, I was below half health most of the time and without popping everything I had as a tank I would have died to normal trash. I told the healer to use his bigger spells but instead of doing it he just started whining and complaining that I shouldn't tell him how to do his job. Sadly I had the annoying kick timer and could not get rid of him and nobody else initiated a kick vote either. They wanted to give him a chance.
Needless to say, on the first boss we wiped. Nobody failed at the mechanics, the healer with his 5k hps was just utterly incapable of healing through the completely normal (unavoidable group damage that the boss deals.
And it's not like I didn't know the mechanics. I just made a mistake like everyone else.
And everyone else has a good chance of getting kicked for it ;) It's not nice but it's the way it is. Learn from it, don't make the mistake again, problem solved.

That fight can be healed by a spriest's Vampiric Embrace if the group executes it correctly. There should be NO group damage whatsoever. It's a complete joke.

Cept the part where you are forced to stand outside the vortexes when he pulls them in...

In which you take extrememly minor damage =/
Edit: The first post was a poor choice of words.

It's not as minor as you think it is.

I've healed it. I've also done a 4 DPS (with spriest) group for it. It's not hard.

...uh, if you die as a healer while the tank is still alive, there are two possible reasons:
1. the tank didn't keep threat
2. you did something wrong
I can't think of any other reason. And this is coming from someone who never does anything but heal in max level content. Sure, I might have been saved once in a while due to a dps, but I would never,
ever
blame a dps for my death, unless they misdirected me, or similar. I just don't see it happening.
You need to prioritize. How much can you manage? If everyone, including yourself, are taking heavy damage, you make certain
you
survive at first. If the tank dies, hope you don't have the second highest threat, and throw a rebirth his way. Full hp tank,(I love the glyph) and you now have full hp too. Win/win. I can't think of any encounter in a dungeon which
requires
dps to stay alive, and if you or the tank dies, it's game over anyway.
You can bash others all you want to, but you can only become a good player if you can find your own flaws, and fix them.
