I can openly admit that I tend to get heavy into my games. There've been some times that my
wife
has had to tell me "Either get off the game or I'm leaving" for me to realize that I'd gone overboard again. Halo 3, CoD4, SW:KotOR and its sequel, Forza 2, SecondLife, and now World of Warcraft were the games of the moment for me and I can and often do lose track of time playing them. I think I was saved the comments this time because, now that I have a son, I must track my time better and haven't been hit as hard with late nights and forgetting things.
If you're in that kind of situation, where you're actually ignoring your gf/bf/whatever for the game, then obviously you need to re-evaluate your time playing and go from there. Quit the game for the short time and come back later playing as it's supposed to be: a hobby.
As others have said though, if it's more along the lines of, "I don't want you playing that stupid game, I should be more important, you have to quit!", then drop them. If you are willing to give up a part of yourself now, it'll only happen more and more in the future.

as a gamer, i'd rather date a non-gamer.
I could never do that. When my ex asked me out I asked for his armory before I said yes.
Lol, I could see you doing that.

try to look at it this way...
you know you are in trouble, when your Girlfriends pants are an epic drop
Not really, I'm sure the average raider sees far more epic drops in a week then girlfriends pants dropping.

Hey, girlfriends' pants are always epic drops! If they aren't, then you need a new girlfriend! :D
