Yes, I know, another "help me with my fire dps" thread.
I've recently picked up a Fire offspec for raids. However, I'm only doing up to 12k dps in raids. My rotation is:
Scorch
Living Bomb
Fireball until Living Bomb runs out
Refresh Living Bomb
Pyroblast! whenever it procs
Combustion when Living Bomb, Ignite, and the Pyroblast dot are up
Here's my Armory:
Armory
Also, I'm confused about another thing. My critical strike chance is 22%, and as far as I know, the soft cap is 33%. However, with my Molten Armor and Critical Mass up, my cirtical chance is 32%, and I run with an Elemental Shaman, so
Elemental Oath
puts my critical chance at 37%, over the soft cap. Should my critical chance be 33% unbuffed, or am I doing fine?
Thanks!

Start with pyroblast instead of scorch, in fact I start every mob with pyroblast, I only use scorch when I move.

Also, you need to find a balance of haste and crit. I find that having 25% crit with my own buffs, no other player buffs is giving me 12k. So, focus on having a good deal of both.

Currently, fire prefers haste over crit as ignite munching is a big problem, may change in 4.1
That is frankly not true, BiS gear barely favors haste > crit. It is completely dependent on your gear.
Get rawr and SimC, check relative stat weights for your own gear.

Pretty sure that:
1. Haste would actually exacerbate the problem with faster casts and, possibly, more crits.
2. Haste was preferred over crit, as I understood it in WotLK, because via Haste you could have more "rolls" of the RNG, instead of "better" chances at it.
