It's not Blizzard's fault you don't read the patch notes; it was said in there that the enchant was going to be changed. So the fact that you felt the MH/OH was better at the time then the Staff, but didn't take the Staff anyways to hold on to, just in case....that's not Blizzard's fault. We get that you are new to WoW, but hey, you've learned something: Don't DE a possible upgrade next time.
Seriously though, as said, if Blizzard has done nothing for item changes that happened three years ago, such as the sudden loss of mounts, enchants, items, they sure as hell aren't going to do it now.
So, either accept it, or quit the game, or take your argument to the actual Blizzard website where someone can actually do something for it.

I paid: 1000g for 4 toons to get regular flying
I paid: 1000g for 5 of my toons to get Dual-Spec
I paid: 1000g for 4 of my toons to get CWF
I paid: 100+g for 3 of my toons for epic mount at lvl60
I think I lost alot more than your 60 some odd INT and I personally dont care, shut the $%^& up.
Oh and if epic flying ever gets nerfed to a lower amount then I paid 4250-5000g for 6 of my toons.
Grand total: 30300g and not 1 *!@# was given

It was.....but they told you that they were going to change it. So you're complaint is the one that holds no water because you weren't intelligent enough to read the notes ahead of time.
And geez, would hate to see you get into a raiding guild; you'd be upgrading your gear all the time and have to spend gold on buying the new things and complaining ever single second about it. I really don't think MMO's are your cup of tea Merlin, might want to go back to console games.

This is the main point I was attempting to make in my last point, it is not unusual for me to spend several 100G on a new piece and that is being a maxed enchanter(minus a few of the newest and some maelstroms).

I don't feel like reviewing 8 pages of..."discussion." Did you ever say what the Staff and MH/OH in question were?

If they offered gold for every little change like this gold would be worthless, stop complaining about something so small and get over it. This isnt a "Blizz failure" its simply fixing something they deemed need fixed. Again like I pointed out with all the gold I spent on riding skills and such I ended up losing a few thousand gold that I couldve used for something else, but am I complaining? no because I can adjust to the changes without crying about it.

Merlin, I have to agree with Tim; you are being a bit thick here. Just suck it up already.

Many lemming think running off that cliff is a good idea, I think I will object.
Lemming don't actually commit mass suicide. This was a myth created (mostly) by Disney.
Seriously though, Merlinspawn: Did you ever petition a GM to return the staff you DE'd when you got the new 'chant?

Wow, so do you threaten to sue everyone who makes you angry Merlin? Wish I had that much free time to expect free things every single time something goes wrong in my world.
No Adams, I only litigate when I am delivered LESS than promised in the sale.
Ok- I know I said I was staying out of this one, but any time someone threatens to sue blizzard over anything in-game, i feel the need to point out how realisitic it is that they'll get anywhere.
A) The service you paid for was outlined on the box when you bought the game, or the description where you downloaded it. Please quote where in that literature you were guaranteed an off-hand enchant for +100 int, because in order for you to claim that you didn't get what you paid for, you would have to prove that the enchant that they nerfed was guaranteed at full strength at the time of the transaction, and convince them that you would not have valued the service as highly, or would not paid for it at all, had that not been guaranteed when you purchased it.
B) You are not able to sign into WoW unless you have agreed to the fact that game experiences may change during play and that you have no right to ownership of anything to do with your account- not the items, not the gold, etc. It belongs to blizzard, and you are renting it under a contract where you agree they can do whatever they want with it. Also, I am pretty sure that you agree to hold blizzard harmless for any damages or imagined damages as a result of changes they make to the game, time invested, money invested, etc.
C) Even if you, by some miracle of life, manage to prove liability, that's not enough. You ALSO have to prove damages. You have to prove that what they did cost you something measurable in real dollars. You could compare the value of the gold spent re-enchanting, gemming, etc. to what people tend to sell gold for, in which case you'd have a lawsuit for less than $20. Or, you could try to make a case that the amount of time you spent re-acquiring the staff you disenchanted could be measured against how much you make an hour, since your time is valuable. However, since you have already spent long hours making, monitoring and responding to this thread about this, I'm guessing the dollars-to-hour conversion is not that impressive either. And, of course, that's IF you could prove you could/would have been working when you were grinding for that staff.
When you are unsatisfied with a product, your recourse is to not buy it again. If you buy a pizza, and you have to spend time cutting it again, you don't then have a lawsuit against the pizza place for breach of contract or the time spend cutting a pizza that you expected to get already cut. If you don't like the sauce they use, you can't expect them to change the recipe until it meets your personal satisfaction. Just because they gave you a pizza that wasn't the way you wanted it, doesn't mean that they owe you money. They might give it to you to get rid of you, but they don't OWE you.
If you are worried about these changes making people quit the game, don't think that it's necessarily a bad thing. There are BAD customers. There are people whose $15 per month is not worth the aggrivation they cause and the resources they use up with imaginative demands and complaints. And, no offense, but if someone is so stressed out about a nerf that they feel they need to quit the game over it, then it might be healthier for them. Certainly, I can't imagine what kind of stress levels they have when raiding or PvP-ing, and how they take it out on the rest of the community. We're probably better off without them.
Did you ever wonder if you could take all of the passion, time and energy that you are spending on this crusade against after-market re-balancing of a game, and put it towards something that actually matters- like maybe crusading for a political or social organization you believe in, washing cars for charity, investing time in some kind of creative endeavor- I don't know, something?
The reason that your thread is getting such a negative reaction, is that the majority of people who play WoW don't even see the changes as anything more than a minor inconvenience- not as a great injustice, or an actionable offense. Just "Oh, well that sucks- guess I have to go run some heroics". So they are looking at your reaction as way out or proportion to the issue at hand, and are either amused, baffled or annoyed.
