Expertise cap much of a DPS loss for Unholy?

Unholy's DPS got nerfed hard by 4.0.6, but the spec is definately much more enjoyable now that you can chaingun deathcoils. This causes expertise to rise in value, dodges are far more likely to come at points where you really don't want them, and they most certainly end up delaying your death coils.
I don't mind shooting for the expertise cap if the DPS loss isn't THAT big, the smoothness and reliability it adds to the spec is probably worth it to me. Question is how big a loss is it? I know that mastery>exp>crit, at least pre hotfix nerf to DC & SI/DT.
Expertise cap costs me about 6% mastery or crit.

Well, this is my character if it makes a difference:

ATM I have nearly 12% haste, but my gear is terrible and poorly itemised. Fully heroic 5-man geared I think i'd be close to 2k haste rating. Right now I don't feel like I have enough 'free' globals (dodges are almost always a dps loss in some way) and as I gear those globals would only go away, and this is with 12/26 expertise.
I wouldn't drop haste or str for expertise, but i'd be willing to drop mastery for it if the drop in DPS isn't that big, for the sake of consistency, +dps during unholy frenzy, or just personal enjoyment (:@).

I shouldn't have put expertise cap, just reforging for it where possible until I get to an amount i'm happy to run with. Like 18+
