I leveled as Shadow since the beginning of time and 80-85 was fairly easy (actually easier than 75-80). The only zone I ever had downtime was in Twilight Highlands and even that was short (had to drink once in a while). The other zones I was able to fly through. With the self healing, ability to drop out of Shadowform and drop a real heal, SW:Death for mana, along with dispersion and Shadowfiend, it is quite easy.

I must say, going back to leveling my priest after leveling my lock to 85 has been hard. Soul Harvest + Life Tap are just madly OP for soloing.

I am currently leveling a Shadow Priest and I don't find any difficulties. If you intend to bring your priest 85 then just do it, rather than being afraid that it would be slow.
This.
If you want to do it - DO IT FFS.
If you don't... what you're doing, then? Asking us to give you an incentive?
(SPriest main, btw. Haven't had any issues at all times.)

Hi
I've leveled DK and a Sham to 85 so far and im tempted to start working on my priest(69) again. With the other two toons i leveled the DK was by far the quickest even tho it was my 1st run threw the new content, I'm putting this down to it putting out more dps. This is scaring me off leveling my priest cause i know pre 4.0.6 i didn't see 1 ever pull more dps then my DK(as tank) in a heroic or raid. Is the dps still painfully crap?
(I want to quest as it is quicker then using the dungeon finder for 80-85)
Why does questing and dungeon finder have to be mutually exclusive? Do both. It's not like dungeon finder forces you to stand still for 30 minutes. If you can get them, get the dungeon quests for the dungeon you're queuing, then start down the quest lines for the next set while you are waiting. Win win.
I just hope you're into Masochism on your priest.
