I actually did the same thing, leveled a Priest and a Druid at the same time, both to level 30. I dropped the Druid and kept going with the Priest. Personally I love how verstile Holy Priests are right now with Chakra, they can fill any healing role you need.

Would the Druid be a Troll?
Otherwise dont bother. Just roll Priest.
Trolls can be priest also. So its a win/win for you.

One issue I see is your timing of this question. Blizz is still nerfing / buffing classes every hour it seems. So what may be the FOTM (Flavor of the MINUTE) heals class now, may not be tomorrow, or next week.

The OP wasn't looking for viability (FOTM), just general feedback about the classes.

Exactly, he asked for strengths and weakness' for each class, and right now, those are changing quite rapidly and often. Information that we may give now has changed since last week, and will probably change by next week. They also change dramaticly depending on playstyle, skill, and gear. For example, combining both of my points, take Resto Druids. Prior to the patch, a druid was nearly only viable as a tank healer due to the mana cost of most of our HoTs. Now, the rejuv and WG changes have fixed that enough, that combined with good regen, druids can heal effectivily both tanks and raid.
The truth is, that by the time Blizz gets all the classes straightened out, all 4 healing classes should be able to heal equally well in either role, as that has been Blizz's stance for quite some time. (Bring the player, not the class)

But end game (IE raiding) doesn't matter at the moment for the OP, as they want to roll a fresh character. By the time they get to level cap (probably at least 2 weeks), they would have a good knowledge of the class & abilities. Then they can look at viability. For the mean time, until they get to 80 any healing class us sufficient.

I really used to enjoy druid healing, but for some reason the cut in duration of the hot of Regrowth changed it for me. I can admit, I was a lazy healer. I liked to put hots on people then sit back and enjoy the fight. Now you are casting something every 1.5 seconds... might as well dps lol.
