Quick question concerning the Feral tree

Hi guys,
I Am really interested in levelling a druid and have a quick question.
the class appeals to me as I've played a rogue before and really enjoy that playstyle, and I have always wanted to try out healing in PvP (BGs mainly) and with a druid I guess I can tick both boxes.
I would also however like to tank dungeons at a later level, if possible, and wondered if using the Feral tree I can cover both dps and tank specs with it - and simply save healing for my secondary spec. I realise the gear would differ between a bear and cat - and thats not too big an issue, but within the Feral tree is it possible to actually share talent points between a tank and dps and produce good results with both?
thanks in advance.

Well, the gear difference in Cata is actually smaller compared to Wrath. Agility gems (stam in Wrath), agility cloak and jewelry (tanking gear in Wrath), ...
Like parra said, just pick up Thick Hide and you'll be fine in DPS spec and gear. Kind of. Our low level aggro is still a horror -_-

Alot of leveling talents actually end up being key tanking talents as well. Infected wounds and thick hide being the key ones.
lol Thick Hide is NOT a leveling talent, it's purely for tanking.
A better example is
. Kind of.

Thick Hide comes in pretty handy when soloing group quests. Furthermore, the less damage you take, the less downtime you have, the faster you can quest.
At least that's been my experience.
I don't regard a talent that's handy for soloing group quests as a leveling talent. And about downtime, a rejuv while running to the next mob works wonders.
But w/e, I leveled in tank spec anyways so doesn't matter xD

You got it all wrong. There is no feral tree. There are only feral cats and bears.
Trees are resto.
