Ah, we have a new player! Welcome to WoW.
You gain honor points for killing members of the opposite faction.
Experience is also granted in Battlegrounds by doing the above. You will see random experience gains because somebody in your group has killed a player or capped a base, not necessarily because you did anything.
The flag is easy to see. You can usually press M to look on your map and see where it is.
Frost Nova can be improved by a
glyph.

1) You can use honor points to purchase new equipment. Head to Stormwind or Orgrimmar for more details.
2) Experience - as Cambo said.
3) a) The flag will be easy to see if it's there. If you can't see it (it's at the big room at the back), then someone's already taken it. You can either go help them bring the flag back to your base, or wait for the flag to return and pick it up. Because the aim of the game is to take the flag and bring it home, most players generally target the person carrying the flag, so it's not a good idea to take it if you're low level.
3) b) Frost Nova, at your level, is more to stop people from chasing after you while you're running away. It'll be much easier to tag along with someone and let them get hit, while you stand back and throw fireballs and frostbolts. You'll be doing that for a long time.
Honor is a currency used to buy PVP gear. Save it until you hit 85, no point in spending any before that.
False. You can get some really good, cheap honor gear early on. Things like
Dryad's Wrist Bindings at 55 honor points is a bargain for epic L40 items, especially if you're not doing dungeons much (even if dungeon bosses have now started dropping epics).
