Not using every helpful spell, Item or trick up your sleeve under the argument "I shouldnt have to" is a poor mentality to have.
This right here is the core of Foley's argument and this is absolutely dead on. If you try to argue for anything else you are cheating your raid out of it's full potential. Plain and simple facts.

It was just a frenzy effect. 8 hour duration. It's gone now.
Also, I'd like to say that I'm proud of foley's co-combatant for more or less not resorting to
ad hominem
. Always a breath of fresh air to see that.

Yeah, especially when the tooltip for Feud specifically says "...but is unable to perform melee attacks."

Why spec brutal impact? We certainly dont "need" that either. Let the rogues do it.
If you have rogues able to do and can find a better place for those points, by all means. Back at level 80 there were builds that gave up BI for points in other talents.
Heck why stop there.. lets scrap infected wounds as well! Another class can appply that!
IF is not viable for a dps spec considering most tanks similar abilities within their own trees. There are better places for those points are they not.
I'm a bit late for the sakux vs. foley debacle, but I'll throw in my 2c anyways: there are NO better places to put points into your feral dps tree.
Let me demonstrate:
This
is what my DPS spec looks like without IW and BI. Where the F are you gonna put points? Primal Madness? You lose the gained points once the effect wears out, I don't like that. You could always put them in tanking talents like Perseverance or something, but ... meh. IW is useful for adds slowing (LK Valkyrs), BI is pretty obvious why it's useful. Not every 10man has a rogue or shammy.
Anyways, too little too late, so I probably better drop it.
I blame halfus. He won't drop malevolence.
Halfus dropped Malevolence twice on our first 25man kill ...

Just commenting on his lack of primal madness. Odd talent choice to say the least.
I had that talent when I made my dps spec at 85. But when raiding, I got pissed off at losing energy after every Tiger's Fury effect ends. So I removed those 2 points and put them in the ONLY talent that has ANY use in pve (albeit a small use, it still has its worth at times), which is IW.
Anyways, those 2 points aren't make or break for the spec, no matter where you put them :)
And foley, I totally didn't notice it was about a tank spec. It was quite late when I posted though ^_^
