I might need to be slapped... I could probably find some uses for it if its cooldown wasn't so restrictive, but at 2 minutes, it seems like nothing more than a gimmicky toy. All I ever do is 5mans, but the only thing I use it for is helping the slowbies keep up with my feral swiftness whilst moving between trash packs.
I wouldn't call it
Useless
, but I'd rank it near the top of a "Least Useful Ability" list (although again, this is mostly because of the too-short duration, disappointing range, underwhelming speed-boost, and overly restrictive cooldown).

"It needs a shorter CD" could be said by any class with any ability, if you ask me. I do agree that increased range would be useful.
Oh, and if all you're doing is 5s...you're not really doing PvE. Yes, it involves a lot of the same tools, but raids have a lot more coordinated movement involved, such as stacking and spreading on Twin Drakes (in comparison, probably the most "technical" movement fights in 5s are in BRC, one which involves 3 players individually controlling a beam, one involving the tank moving the boss, and the third involving ranged kiting adds).
Compare Corla with the Twin Drakes and you have: "I need to move when I get to 70" vs. "I need to stack fast and then spread the smeg out." Corla there's no speed requirement, Twin Drakes the roar would be a godsend.

has been watching too much Red Dwarf recently, havent heard the word smeg in ... decades? XD
I have a shirt from Red Dwarf that says "Smeg Off" at the back xD
Oh crap, derailment! Quickly, think of something!
*ahem* I agree with Foley. Just last night, I used it all the time when tanking Feludius and Terrestra (very handy on Feludius in the rare occasion I get waterlogged).
Shorter cd would be awesomesauce.

lol, kk. I'll conclude with two statements: (1) I know nothing about Feral PvE. (2) Stampeding Roar's strength (in its current form) does not justify a 2-minute cooldown.
no the sky isnt falling but unless they are keeping symbiosis and also giving resto disentanglement then yes.... that nice +10% healing and 1.25% for every point of mastery is out the window replaced by a damn root dispel.
I thought you were trolling.
Click here and look at the Resto Pane
. See where it says
and
? That's where Disentanglement is going. It's not
replacing
anything, especially not Symbiosis -- wouldn't that be a little silly?

Stampeding Roar
is useless, ask any druid.
If you honestly believe this, then you sir, are completely useless to your guild/raid/5man/pug/ w.e
This ability is on constant cooldown. I only wish it had a shorter cd so i could use it more.
Its such an awesome utility, that even the balance and resto druids in my guild are using it whenever they can.
If you cant see the value in an ability such as this, in both pve and pvp senarios, you need to be slapped.
You may need to slap me twice. I've only seen 9 of the 12 bosses in endgame, and I have yet to see a mechanic that Stampeding Roar makes a huge difference. I use it a lot after wiping and running back (barely see a difference) and the range on the spell barely hits the person next to me. Tell your raid members to be more cognisant of their surroundings and your CD will be up in time to run back to the boss.
Conclusion: Not totally useless, but not part of my key bindings.

Are feral nerfs really that bad?To quote the immortal words of Darnell:So basically what Blizzard's tryin' to say is, if y'all feral, guess what time it is? Time to reroll.
The quote in my signature aside, feral will still be playable. Just won't be the same.

I don't see how Stampeding roar has anything to do with the fact that they are taking away a druids key ability. If you are PVPing and trying to catch someone I find it highly unlikely that you will be in bear form (the only place stampeding roar makes any difference).
Doesn't change the fact that any group comp with a fear and a root will almost always beat any team that the main dps is a feral (4.0.6).
The SR conversation stemmed from the list that Skribs made, regarding how we still have several usable spells left. The thread you're looking for "Shifting Nerf" is right below this.
