Hi, returning to the game after about a year or so out and looking for some advice please.
Have a level 80 hunter with jc and alchemy, Choose the alchemy for creating potions and improved potion use, mainly to regain mana. Given that mana is no longer an issue with hunters do you think that there is anything to be gained in having alchemy for a hunter post 4.03 or would I be better levelling a new profession and if so which one? Any posts i found on the subject were pre 4.03 and therefore not involving the mana/focus switch.
Thanks for any help you can give :)

Alch is as good as it was in the Wotlk era, nothing really changed (higher flasks, higher pots, etc). The big issue right now is crafting stuff and selling for profit. Flasks and Potions are vendor trash and cost an eye and an arm. Go Transmute instead, at least until people will be geared enough and market will be (again) staibilized.

It might be even better now with the Cauldrons.

If you're in a raiding guild you will get cauldrons with 2 levels of mixology from guild level perks.
True, but someone has to actually bring them =P.
