Blaine started to walk towards the portal, stopping as he saw that Krista was starting to wake up out of the corner of her eye. It took her only a few seconds to realize that not only was she in control again, but she was also bound.
"What is the meaning of this!" she demanded. "Who are you, what do you-." She noticed Blaine and then Alexander. "B-Blaine, is that you? And Alexander, you as well? What are you two... where am I? What's going on?" She looked down at Meyer. "And who the hell do you think you are! Put me down at once!"
"Krista," Blaine said, setting down Ivan and returning to his human form and walking over. "Your awake already?" He was shocked, even with the worgens' natural resistance to poisons in them he had thought they would be out for at least an hour. Then again; Blackbite had always been a quick healer, so that probably translated to her human side."
"It would seem so," she said, still glaring at Meyer. "Now put me down!"
Ivan also began to stir, opening his eyes slowly. "Wh- where am I?" he muttered quietly. "What happened?" His half-asleep eyes widened with fear. "Did I... did I... kill someone else?"
"Ivan," Blaine said, turning back to his brother. He was awake now too? This was perculiar, but he was greatful to see them both well.
(( Thought about waiting untill they got to Dalaran to have they wake up, but decided that doing so would just complicate their addition to the group. ))

"Worgen side of yours tried to murder me a minute ago. You joking, right?" Meyer snarled - or attempted to snarl, he was still traumatized and what came out was a hoarse croaking. Alexander stepped forward.
"You can't blaim her, M- Wilhelm," he said, "Krista, I'm really sorry we have to meet like this. I promise nothing bad will happen to you."

"That's comforting of you to say, Lord Bowie," Krista smiled, "but I would be a lot more greatful if I could stand on my own two feet, please."
"I would also prefer to not be tied up like... like some animal," Ivan said, struggling slightly against the vines.
Blaine frowned, his first instinct being to let both free - they were not the monsters here anyway - but doing so would only anger both Wilhelm and Alexander. Against his better judgement, he walked over to Ivan to remove the bonds.

Alexander snarled, and stepped between the two brothers.
"You, of all people, should know this is a bad idea," he growled. In the back of his mind, a part of him wondered if Krista knew of his condition and ascent to druidism. Another part purred softly, trying to make him focus his gaze on the woman.
Wilhelm coughed violently as he leaned Krista's cocoon against a tree, allowing her to stand on her own but still leaving her bound.
"Not content with having my throat ripped out, see?" he said in a tone torn between apologetical and sarcastical, "Don't have anything against you as a person, honestly."
Alexander threw him a heavy look. The warlock shrugged indignantly.

"Get your facts straight, peasant" Krista said, glaring at Meyer. "
I
never tried to harm you, I don't even know who the hell you are! The
animal
your reffering to is not in control, so do not attempt to address me as such.
You
, on the other hand, have tied me up like some kind of... I can't even think of anything to descibe it right now. Not let me go."
Blaine had looked over as Krista had started speaking. Now that the conversation was over he returned his attention to Bowie. "I know the risk, but he's in control now," he said, attempting to jusitfy it to himself just as much as Alexander. "They don't loose control easily either, they can take care of themselves."
Ivan said nothing, in about the same mindset as Blaine was now; wanting to be released but knowing that in doing so he might endanger someone. "I can control him," he spoke up. "We were ambushed some time ago, that's the only reason Bloodhowl got control."

"Krista!" Alexander raised his voice, then gritted his teeth.
"It goes against my better instincts..."
"Are your noble friends and I'm a lowly commoner, right? Sheeesh," Wilhelm spat on the ground, and walked away.
"I'm strong enough to stop both of them," Alexander said, growing confident in seconds and walking up to Krista. He put his hand on the vines and they released the woman.
"Yeah, mother Nature, yadda yadda," warlock spat again, positioning himself between the gilneans and the three women. Arc'Arahm shrugged and walked up to his master, winking at Krista.

Krista took a breath, able to do so more easily now the the vines were not constricting her. She also saw the demon for the first time, and that it winked at her. "Ech, a warlock," she said, grimacing, "that only makes things worse. Would you kindly dismiss your pet, I don't like the way it's looking at me." She scowled once more at Meyer and his felguard minion before walking over to her two brothers.
Blaine had also noticed the wink but was already kneeling down to unbind his brother. "There you go," he said after cutting through the vines with his knife. He stood up, turning his head to smile at Krista. "Good to see you again, sister." She returned the greeting with a slight nod of her own.
"Thank you, brother," Ivan said, standing up and sighing greatfully as he felt the wind brush his face again. "I have a vauge memory of how I got here," he said. "But what are the rest of you doing in Stranglethorn?"

"Trying to save the world," Meyer told Ivan, decided to ignore Krista for now.
'
Master, please?
' Arc'Arahm sent him a thought. Wilhelm looked at his minion.
'
As much as I want to, not just yet. She does as much as lay a finger on the girls, I let you rape her.
'
'
Sweet. We're having... issues with Gesvene.
'
'
TMI.
'
"He's exxagerating, but it
is
something grand - people all over the world are involved," Alexander intervened before the Jerets had any chance to confront the warlock.

"And which side of it are you on?" Ivan asked, looking between all of them. Two human women, one a Gilnean, a dwarf female, a warlock, Alexander, Blaine, it was quite the collaboration of individuals. "Participants or trying to stop it?"
Blaine hesitated. "Trying to stop it," he said. "But that's all you need to know. We should get you to Dalaran now, you'll be safe there untill I can come back. I managed to convince the courts to give you a new trial, there's evidence that proves your innocence."
Ivan was speechless, lowering his gaze as he took in what his brother had just said. He chuckled just slightly, smiling. "I had begun to doubt my own innocence," he said. "So many people I may have murdered when that monster took control - not my mind but still my body being used." He shook his head. "But before I go anywhere, I would like a few more specifics on what is going on." Blaine looked over to Alexander, not sure whether Ivan and Krista should or should not be informed about the Games.
Krista could still feel the felguard watching her and she moved so that Alexander and Blaine blocked any view of her from him. Demons, filthy creatures, even moreso than the commoner that commanded it. She listened to the conversation the other nobles were having, seeing no need to interject.

"We're going to a battle, Ivan," Alexander said, looking into the other's eyes - that was one of the ways to stop himself from looking at Krista.
"Someone from the other side, someone in power escaped from the Violet Hold, most likely with aid of other... villains, for lack of a better word. We traced his portal here - and now we will fight him and subdue him."
Wilhelm fumed, but remained silent.

"So then you are against it," he nodded, thinking. "Does it have something to do with these...
'Killing Games'
?" He had only heard the term once, when he and Krista had been traveling through Darkshire a week earlier. He had only heard the name but something about it sent a chill up his spine, the kind he had felt when the Forsaken had first invaded Gilneas. "How does it work, exactly?"
Blaine sighed. "It's a mass slaughter," he explained, as Ivan had already deduced what was going on, "one that involves almost everyone on Azeroth and dangles the prize of wealth as its cause. We're trying to stop it."
Blaine had summerized it but the very horror and disgust that he felt towards it must have translated over in how he spoke, fore no sooner had he finished had Ivan's face grew pale with horror. He was silent, then nodded. "I see," he said, "how do you intend to stop it? Find the mastermind behind it and kill him?"

"He must be a powerful individual, with all our prowess I don't think it's up to us to confront him," Alexander replied, deciding he was not the one to decide if the Jerets were to be told about their first encounter with Ysolde. "Finding him, on the other hand, sounds like something we are capable of - and once we do that - well, we'd better do even that," he said.
'
Damn. Damn. Damn. Get your priorities straight,
' the druid thought. Despite his self-control, he threw Krista a glance just once.

Krista noticed the glance Alexander had shot her and sighed and closed her eyes, fighting back the urge to shake her head.
"Her, actually," Blaine admitted. "Her name is Ysolde, and she's a powerful... individual." He was unsure of a class to lable Ysolde as, her powers varrying from his understanding. "We were about to attempt a plan to locate her when one of her servants we had captured managed to get free. We came her to track him down and recapture him."
"By portal, I presume?" Ivan asked, figuring that the only reason anyone like his brother and their allies would be out here would be because of the use of some kind of teleportation spell.
"Precisely."
Ivan nodded, thinking about everything that had been said in the just-passed conversation. After a minute of doing so he took a breath and nodded. "When do we leave?" he asked.
"Ivan, you can't be-," Blaine and Krista both said, shocked that Ivan was suggesting putting himself into conflict by choice. All three knew full and well what would happen if he lost control during the middle of a battle, but for some reason Ivan - of all people - was deciding to ignore that.
"I can, and I must," the eldest Jeret said authoritatively. "Conflict breeds monsters of the worst kind, especially in those doing the fighting. This world has... enough monsters," he motioned to himself, meaning Bloodhowl as an example. "I will not let any being ruin their lives because they see this as their only chance for forture or to save themselves from their crisis of poverty or other such state. If I was to do simply let this pass me by the wayside, not attempting to even try to stop it, it would make me as much a monsters as... my darker half."
Krista went off on how Ivan was likely to get himself and others killed if he went through with this. Ivan listened, but Blaine could see it in his brother's eyes that his mind was made up. Nothing short of a order from King Greymane himself would be able to stop him now. The youngest of the Jeret siblings only hoped that the past would not repeat itself. Or worse; what the past could have been would become reality.

"I cannot let you do that, Ivan Jeret," Alexander said, rolling his neck. "If I were to the only one to accompany you, I would gladly let you join - Bloodhowl will bown down before me if I do not knock him out first, and so will Blackbite. But I cannot put at risk my friends. I cannot charge at my enemy not being sure what happens behind me. If you want to join us..."
Amethyst fire appeared inside his eyes. He folded his arms on his chest and growled, still in his human form - yet, "You will have to force me change my mind. It is not about your feelings alone, Ivan Jeret. If I were to choose between your hurt pride and my friends' well-being - I would not hesitate a second."

Ivan nodded, but stood resolute in his decision. "If that is true, then why not strike me down right now?" he asked. "If I lose control again like I did now Bloodhowl may hunt them down. He does not give up easily, and so as long as I live he will too, and so long as he lives he will hunt.
"If I truely cannot be trusted, then just kill me."
Blaine reached for his daggers, not liking where this was going. Something had changed in Ivan since his exile, something that he was not sure was for the good or ill of him.

"Let me show you something, Ivan Jeret."
The violet glow in the druid's eyes brightened up as he smoothly shifted into Duskhide.
"Hope is not lost for you, brother," came a low, guttural voice from the black worgen with purple eyes. "I am telling you this both as Alexander Bowie of Gilneas - and Duskhide of Cenarion Circle."

"Ah yes, the merging of mind and soul of the worgen and human sides," Ivan identified the offer Alexander was about to make him and his sister. "Correct me if I am mistake. We met another druid a few months after leaving Gilneas and she made us the same offer. I'm afraid that, again, we'll both have to refuse. Neither or nor Krista want anything to do with our worgen sides other than seeing them removed. We'll wait untill Krennan or one of the other alchemists manage to find a propper cure." Krista nodded in agreement.

Duskhide sighed, shifting back into Alexander. In the back of his mind a treacherous thought came, '
Reasoning with Bloodhowl and Blackbite would be easier... After I showed the couple who's the alpha male here.
'
"Your worgen sides carry nothing but the dark you had before the contamination," he said simply, then folded his arms again.
"If you do not wish to accept that, I am not taking any risks."
He nodded at the portal to Dalaran which was still open.

Ivan grit his teeth. Two moral obligations, one to himself the other to the betterment of all. He had made a decision once before, yes, but this time things were different. This time there was a matter larger than even the invasion of Gilneas at hand.
Before he could finish his thoughts a bullet flew past his ear, just barely missing. "Light damn it!" he swore, looking for some kind of weapon. "It's them! The undead!"
Vrem Dartskul began to line up another shot through his sniper rifle. The group they had tracked through Ashenvale was here, and the two worgen they had been tracking through Duskwood were with them. What were the odds?
With the marksman were, of course, Rottalon and Marrow, along with Alrissa Bonepeirce, Samantha Maranda and two female figures robed from head-to-toe in black.
He aimed a shot at the worgen druid and fired. Then looked back at Alrissa. "Take up a position a few paces away," he said, then looked at the two robed women. "Prepare to move in."
All three ran to do as they were told, Samantha remained behind and continued to work on a potion. Vrem began to line up another shot.

"Back to Dalaran. Now. We will handle this," Meyer snarled, ushering Isabel, Nova and Rhey into the rift. Before another shot came, all three were already in the city and the portal closed behind them.
"Bring it," he snarled, summoning a shield of raw mana around him. Arc'Arahm grinned, flexing mockingly as runes on his armor glowed.
Alexander shifted into Duskhide the moment Ivan even began to speak, dropping to the ground and letting the bullet pass harmlessly overhead. He slammed his claws into the ground, sending a surge of energy through - with no visible effect.
