Name one class that can kill a resilienced target in PVP gear in 6 seconds.
In either event,
a search on youtube results in other classes capable of bursting targets in seconds on the beta
And I agree with:
I think it's fair that you should be rewarded for perfect control of an enemy team, or their horrific mistakes.
The idea that this DK didn't use anything to break the Deep Freeze, the healer was LoS'd, and the mage lined up their cooldowns sounds like a perfect reason for the DK to die.
What do you want, really? For the DK to have survived and been able to get healed up even though they played horribly? The stars aligned for the other team, and they took full advantage. This wasn't a gear mismatch, or even one class being horribly overpowered -- it was a perfect use of burst and CC in an arena match.
And with that in mind, let's think a second here -- how exactly can Blizzard balance PvP to be much slower when a team CAN'T be punished for making such mistakes? Perhaps even lower damage and higher health pools would help. When the DK died, perhaps they should have been only around 30% health, and the healer helped to keep them alive, but ultimately, was unable to bring them back up from such a deficit before another well-timed burst phase, or went OOM trying. It still would end with the same result.
The damage in and of itself isn't the problem. Big numbers aren't the problem. It's the fact that it's just plain difficult to balance so many variables here. When a team is outplayed like this, they should lose -- regardless of how long it took them to do so.
