I don't have to take any time off. My last day of work is next friday 10, After that my vacations begin till January 12 so I just have to hold my desire to play for 4 days (actually 3, I'm betting the 7th wow will be down most if not all the damn day)
this is a good thing too. The first couple of days will be IMPOSIBLE to play, competition for mobs, lag, and crowded zones will be a major hinderance to play. I wont even level my toon till december 15th, by then the "horde" (and I'm not talking about the actual faction The Horde) of massive lvl 80s who are plundering Hyjal and Vashjir will be in deepholm and uldum, letting me level in peace.
I still have bad memories of WOTLK's start, and how it was so crowded in borean tundra I had to stop playing for a few days to actually quest in peace without having to compete for every mob killed.
I'm not intrested in "Server Firsts" so I have no hurry to get to 85.

None, but there's been hour cuts at work and I'm probably going to be laid off for most of Dec, Jan, and Feb. So, I'll be essentially be being paid to play WoW, and do everything else I'll be doing with my newfound free time.
It'll actually be quite annoying fighting cabin fever...

Wish I could skip classes to level up, but that's not going to happen. Too many projects this quarter >_<

Wouldn't it be nice if you could just stop time in the real world for as long as you wanted.
But time in WoW went ahead.
So you could sit and play WoW until you get bored, then start time in the real world again and carry on with that.
Instead of this whole, work into the grave society, with not enough free time to truly enjoy your life.
Edit: While I'm thinking of things like this, make a list of everything you want to do in life, and when you have time, try and achieve those goals.
WoW should always be secondary, because in 2 years or so time, we will be preparing for the next expansion, and all the time you invested is now a useless memory.
I really wish I quit at the end of TBC, skipped wrath and invested the time spent elsewhere, I literally endured this expansion.

not taking the day off: at work, working. Not being with friends.
That's a very bleak view of work you have.
I'm not sure I understand. I was speaking about my own situation. I like my work, I even like going to work. I like my co-workers. We get on well (mostly) and have fun, but they're not my friends. Some could be, I suppose. But if I were to leave this job, I probably wouldn't see most of them ever again.

heh I remember when the ford plant I used to work at had to go on downtime for all of nov, dec, and jan. We all got 95% of our pay and yeah I just felt like I was being paid to play WoW XD this was before we had our son to so it was pretty damn awesome drinking vodka and smoking some pot on like a thursday afternoon and not have to worry about going into work and I could just pay wow or CS 1.6 till I was sober or just pass out, usually the latter happened.
