Classical studies student.
That's an interesting major - what sort of classics? Art, music, literature?
Me = financial modelling consultant.

Lol - you might want to find another major that's more potentially remunerative, Aestu, unless you are planning on going to med school or law school after graduating. I know from direct experience. :) The semester I spent in Rome back in the day though was totally worth it.
I work... for the Gov!
More and more now, as college degrees in fields other than, like, maybe medicine and engineering are failing to practically prepare people for their jobs, companies are looking for people with degrees that at least prove they know how to think critically.
Totally not related to that at all. I'm a phil major.

Pizza guy. Manager, pizza maker, delivery boy. I pretty much do it all because we're a small local shop.

I don't agree, I think it's the opposite. Technical fields are the way to go. I wish I had gone into a technical field, but it's too late now.
Yes and no. A technical field does teach you to think critically. For the most part though, they still don't give you the skills to actually operate in the real world. For example, at my current company, we hired a fresh actuarial graduate who doesn't have any experience whatsoever with Microsoft Excel. How on earth can you get through a maths/stats/modelling degree without using Excel or any other spreadsheet program?

Few could imagine the enormity of my ambition.
I just hope I don't wind up with 23 knives in the back.
Consider that stolen, my friend.

OMG, someone called Aestu their friend! OMGOMG!
Sorry, it was going to be said by someone at some point :) Better said by me in jest than by someone who holds a grudge.
