Why so much hate towards the Dark Lady?

I did the Arathi questlines today.....and god damn but I was ready to pick up an axe and go hunt for Sylvanas; what the Forsaken did to Galen just got under my skin. The poor guy is now downsized to giving out the old quest chain to hunt for his axe, and at the end, when you hand it to him, he tells you that the legacy of the Trollbane is over as he'll be forced to use it to take the lives of the living.
He gave up; the Forsaken broke him when they brought him back. I was really hoping, and I mean it, that at the end of the quest line, he'd go nuts and start attacking the other Forsaken people in the quest hub, before fleeing off into the wilderness...instead, he just gives up, and accepts the orders given to him by the Dark Ranger in command of the Outpost.

The Val'Kyr predate the Lich King; I believe they're part of the Vry'kul's religion/afterlife or something. The Vry'kul believe that the Lich King is their Death god, but I think it's a case of mistaken identity.

So maybe they're tied in with Yogg or the other Old Gods generally? That ain't good...
Of course they're tied in with Yogg - Curse of Flesh.
Actually, it looks like they were given their current state
by the Lich King
.
He brought them back, yah, but the Vrykul have been around for longer than the LK. (At least, I'm going with what Keleseth says in the breadcrumb quest to Utgarde Keep.)The Vrykul have, but the Val'kyr have not.

The Scourge are Fel, as they came from Kil'jaeden and the Dreadlords(who are possibly the original Necromancers as they taught the magic to the Legion). Necromancy is one of the schools of magic though, and honestly, some of what you do with a necromancer(rpg books) is different then the warlocks...and of course, the G1 Death Knights are some weird combo of the two.

I always loved Hillsbrad back in the old days, but then the forsaken ruined it by plaguing it and making it uninhabitable for 100 years. It was already fair since the alliance and the horde both had only 1 base. Now the horde took over most of the foothills. >:(
Look you.
We oozified your home, your family, and you're meddling dog too.
Glory to the Dark Lady, glory to the Forsaken!

Have fun rotting your corpse to ashes.
I'll be at the beaches checkin' on the ladies. (Sylvanas really need some tanning, don't you think?) ;)

Nah.
I like pale girls.
Well, and Dragon girls. And Worgen girls. But those are different subjects entirely.

With the Val'kyr at their back, I don't think the Forsaken have to worry much. Remember, with the original preservatives the Forsaken had they were able to keep Sylvanas in VERY good condition, and now that they've got the Val'kyr magic (the closest thing possible to Lich King magic, based on its capabilities) they have greater access to keeping themselves in better condition for longer times.

Just remember that everytime Sylvanas get wasted (I won't say "dies" for obvious reasons) the Valkyrs had to sacrify themselves to get her up, for some sort of pact firmed between them.
Problem is, there were only a few Valkyrs left, and if I'm not mistaken some were already sacrified when she got shot by Lord Walden and had to be re-resuscitated.

Aye, but there's a VERY big difference between splinting a leg and having to resuscitate someone. I think maintenance on the Forsaken doesn't cost the Val'kyr at all what resurrecting someone with the kind of power Sylvanas has does.

True. But once Sylvanas gets resuscitate a few more times, there'd be no more Valkyrs to raise anymore forsaken. A hard call for the Dark Lady.

Actualy I belive the forsaken has necromancers that do the healing. And also needle and thread works too. :P
Val'kirs are for reamimating new undeads... Or be a pain in my ass in Pet Battles.
