i'd like to see you without a guild Aestu. something tells me you're the kind of person who gets taken through HM's with a guild that feeds you gear and praise. when you're unguilded, you have to work so hard every raid reset just to get a single piece of gear that high end raiders will look down on you with disgust for having.
lol.
Aestu's legendary on BH for leading highly successful pugs in both TBC and WoTLK. He doesn't last in guilds long, yes, but every time he's been accepted into one it's been because he xferred to get a mount, then impressed the various top 250 guilds enough that they've asked him to stay on.
But go on, the vitriol and spite you ooze is amusing.

Well back when i started wow i joined a guild named The30. All was nice and we were happy to ding 60 then and start Dire Maul, Strat, Scholo and such. After i went 3-4 runs with my guild (i was holy priest an they needed me) in a few evenings' time, a friend of mine irl who was also made officer there phoned me and told me "this is just a friendly warning from me, but some officers are under the impression that you only come to those runs that benefit you". Upsetting as this was it mad me think - and yes, they were right. This never happened since and if i have the time i try to help out whenever asked (by guildies).
My point - sometimes just telling someone can be a wake-up call; or maybe im just an exception :P
Mostly agree to what Aestu said. 1 question - if asked for advice, or if you see someone really bad at their class - do you try / help them? With info i mean, since this will not really cost you anything. Even if you only link an address / site where they can read more on how to improve.

Erm, what is wrong in coming to runs which benefit you? Did they expect you to be boosting them?
Your guild havent been "raiding" anything serious it seems. I would leave such guild asap.Mate, at that time only about 1 year had passed since wow was launched (me thinks). Anyway not long after we had about 15 or so lvl 60s we merged with another guild and started raiding MC. And in those days raiding was nothing like now... raid progression was slower and much more of a learning process, especially since u needed to have 40 players in coordination. Eventually we did MC, BWL, AQ 20 and most of 40 i think, and i cant remember the progression in Naxx, so it was quite decent (if true that not best possible solution). Anyway my job prevents me from being a ""hard core raider", then and now, so i pretty much have to be content with lesser expectations from the game. Enough said i sometimes have to work 24-30 hours straight.
PS - they suggested i ONLY went in runs that benefit me; basically if i could get loot i would, of there was no good loot for me i would turn them down politely... obvious no-no but at first i didn't realize. It is somewhat normal that if people go with you where there is loot for you, you also help where there is loot for them.

Nice multi account. LOL.
WOW IS REALLY HARD BTW LOL
It's so easy I dualboxed Herald of the Titans.
No, but seriously, if it's so easy why haven't you seen and done everything there is to do?
Wow is a
hobby
and I don't play every month of the year and buy premium on a search engine.
It's not hard to be good at the game, regardless. But your elitist posts kind of make me laugh. Especially when you make new accounts to fluff yourself.
Oh god, we're different people you knob. But seriously, keep digging this hole.
@Aestu, someone probably could dualbox herald if they had 4 arms.... Vishnu?
@OP, looking at your armory (I haven't touched holy since the patch, so I won't comment on spec/gemming; though I do believe spirit trumps int?) - you're missing a lot of real basic items that I, as a PUG leader, would drop you from a group from if you don't resolve: missing enchants is a big deal, the lack of even 4pt9 (or even t10, which is fairly easy to farm now with all currency being JP now) is more than a bit off putting. Since you're adverse to farming heroics (I know the feeling), try run ToC10/25 every lockout you get to get JP and some upgrades - the trinket from Jaraxxus25 is still excellent.
Edit: Also, don't mention you're 2/12! And don't link someone else's achievement, it'll become obvious enough that you lied if when you hit content you haven't done before, and that makes you look like a real !@#$%^bag.

Coming from someone who hasn't even gone 7/12 HM in ICC that's not surprising to hear you say it's easy. It's funny that because Blizzard decided 90% of the playerbase should see endgame content you think you're good at the game.

So what you're saying is that a good player must have 12/12 in ICC? I really feel that to be decent (not good / great, just decent) you actually only need a bit of common sense and some will to do it. It's not much... Why you would even put these 2 together? It's like saying "unless you are a F1 racer, you cannot be a good driver"

That's
completely
what I am saying. But the skill curve for raiders has dropped dramatically since "casual" raid encounters were implemented. The amount of bad raiders in BC compared to the amount in Wrath is exponentially worse, and it's not because of how many new players there are.

Im somewhere between laughing and plainly telling you that is absurd. Leaving aside there are so many good drivers outside F1, you cannot asses the quality of a player by what he has
not
done. You can only asses experience and even that is limited in many ways.
I will give myself a an example. I have stopped any kind of raids more then 1 year ago (except those like Ony which are short). Simply because after dividing my time between work, my wife and going out with friends or playing sports, I was left with about 2-4 hours of play every second day AT BEST. This being said - in TBC, after half of my guild separated because they wanted hard-core raiding (at least 4 days a week), I was mainly the one who tried to pull what was left together, invite new people and basically get things going again. I was the one who started and led the raids in Karazan, and it was quite some time before we had someone else step up to this role to help me.
So this should tell you 2 things - i have experience with raiding, and i have experience with raid leading (also meaning i took the time to research each boss and explain tactics to rest of raid). I know a lot of mechanics for bosses, and probably would not find it hard to adapt to new ones.
So what of all this contradicts the idea that i am at least a decent player? What makes you think that if i would like to pick up raiding again now, i would not be up to the challenge, despite not having killed 1 boss in ICC yet?

When you say a "skill curve" this brings to mind a graphic of sorts. But that has always 2 things that relate. (like the graphic of speed relates distance and time)... So what you are saying is the skill of the players has dropped compared to or in relation to what? As for your last phrase, i do not understand if you are saying BC had a higher number of bad players or WotLK. Will leave aside why "exponentially" is just wrong, but i am curious to why you see this as related to new people. There is some meaning of this that i would agree with, but i would first like to know your answer.
