I'm loving my mid-60's Demon warlock, thank-you very much Kappajoe.
I'd like to point out to anyone that doesn't know, to open your pet's spellbook often to check for new abilities.
I was 63 before I found Felstorm. I put it on my pet's action bar and saw my DPS skyrocket.

basically, int trumps everything else so an item with 5 more int will out-weigh any finer balance of "green stats".
beyond that hit should be valued a little higher than other stats because missing DoTs at the start of combat can really prolong things. however, the amount of hit that is useful depends entirely on the level of mobs you're taking on in relation to your own level (ie. 2 levels higher needs more hit than 1 level lower). the character sheet tells you your chance to miss against different level mobs so use that as a guide.

ah, apologies, me saying "int" was a bit misleading.
the vast majority of int's worth is in it's spellpower which is a one-to-one conversion. there is, of course, some value in int's increasing your mana pool but the spellpower is most important.
so in this case the wisdom staff gives:
14 stam
21 spellpower
+some mana
zulian gives:
28 stam
40 spellpower
no mana
spirit can be completely disregarded.
zulian probably wins! ^_^
so, yes, i was forgetting that spellpower is still a stat you find occasionally while levelling.
int > spellpower > > > stam > hit > anything else

Is the content here still relevant for leveling? I have never leveled a lock and am all herpderp right now. :)

I definitely think this is one of the more friendly forums on wowhead, and I've certainly learned a lot from reading all of the guides here! (particularly askawa's Tome of Fel energies!) That being said, I have one questions about your details on the affliction spec:
You mention that some people argue that the succubus if a more effective pet to use in the affliction tree. I was under the impression that the succubus was only useful for CCing in pvp since damage caused cancels their Seduction affect. I honestly don't know, am I missing something to the succubus?

That advice is possibly a little out of date in the current game but that's not to say that the succubus is no good any more. A recent patch buffed the Felhunter considerably making him the best choice whenever you have all your DoTs stacked on a target (his damage increases with more DoTs). Previously he was very weak and a glyphed succubus just did the best damage for Affliction.
The Succubus can still be strong on fights that need a ranged pet but if you're going to use her often in this way then it's worth having a stack of
so you can swap her glyph in and back again afterwards.
Arena PvP is so heavily Affliction based right now that the Felhunter rules in PvP also. The Succubus method tends to go with Destruction PvP so expect to see the Succubus more in PvP if Destro gets buffed.
(Also, thanks for the kind words ^_^)
