It's current, so people will whine constantly.
Wait until it's a year or two old. Then it will automatically be better than everything.
This, just like they say now TBC was the best and in TBC people said Vanilla was the best, it's just a trend.
WoTLK had its ups and downs for me. Gear availability was a double edged sword, and personally, I like being able to get good gear without having to go through all raids or playing countless hours for it. Ulduar was another high point, amazing just doesn't describe it.
What's bad, PvP was mediocre, but that's been like that since Arena. ToC was lame too and the other side of gear availability; too many idiots in PuGs or heck, even in guilds who just get spots for their gear.
Either way, I liked WoTLK, just can't wait for Cataclysm tho.

Exactly.
Bookmark this thread, bring it up again in a year, and I can guarantee you that if Cataclysm is even half-decent it'll be hailed as a massive upgrade on Wrath.
There'll be little or no romanticizing about Northrend. Very few people complained about TBC when it was current (apart from a few hardcores who complained about the lack of 40-mans and the failed world PvP project in Nagrand and Hellfire; that was literally it. Oh, and the clown-coloured armor! ^^)
The only thing about Wrath that will be remembered is the Wrathgate cutscene, the quest in Storm Peaks where you chain from one drake to another, dual talent specialisation, finally getting to nail Arthas after WC3 and the introduction of "gimmick" fights such as Flame Leviathan, Malygos and co. that will hopefully be refined in Cataclysm. Hanging over all those positives is the big blanket of crap that the rest of the expansion was.
I can't be the only one who feels like nearly the entirety of Wrath was a repetitive hurdle jumping exercise of doing one raid for three months, see it nerfed to the ground for casuals, sit around Dalaran after farming 25 dailies for hours a day or levelling your millionth alt "just for something to do" before then hitting another raid for three months, to see it nerfed to the ground... etc. etc. etc.
To be honest there was much more then that.

No. Ulduar is and will probably stay one of my favorite raids of all time, and for all the &*!@#ing, ICC is still up there (just not the top. Personally, I preferred it to Black Temple not because of difficulty but because the fights were actually more fun.) ToC and Naxx (at least for a second timer) were meh, but you can't have everything

Great. Caught me when I was sleepy. Usually I'm better than that...sigh...
Edit: I'm going to need to work on that other thread idea soon, based on opinions here.
