Arthas lampshades that way back in the Frozen Throne campaign <.<
(The generic fact that nobody stays dead, I mean)

Can't anyone learn from bungie and leave a character dead?
Actually, the Nathrezim were ''retconned'' into being an unkillable race. They are simply banished to the Nether.
Unless, possibly, they are killed by their own kind; seemed like that was the big No-No for the Nathrezim.

I think that is was a fake - after all, the Dark Voice was Varimathras's true master, not Sylvanas. So, no harm to lore done.

Not that Dark Voice... I hope
There was someone shouting at Varimathras during the Battle for Undercity, remember?

But he killed Balnazzar, he blew up into bats just like Mal'ganis.
And now Balnazzar is back. Doesn't seem that you can kill them, even if you're a Nathrezim.

I don't like Dreadlords tbh. They're flat, stale characters imo.
And they won't stay freaking dead.

Aye, I know he's back but that might have been a set up from the beginning;
it's all speculation
, but still...

I think Kel is gone for good this time. The Argent Crusade isn't as corrupt as the AD/BoL. They'll make sure his phylactery is gone (unless I'm totally missing something.)

If you complain about Blizzard rezzing characters, don't read DC or Marvel comics, the only character that has never been ressurected was Uncle Ben.
But Seriously, no one has answered by opinion about what happened to Kel'Thuzad? his loyalty is to the lich king, and if Bolvar is a good Lk, then would he come back as some sort of ambassador?
He was already brought back; who do you think Lady Deathwhisper was.
Beyond that; no. KT joined the Cult of the Damned willingly, and wanted to bring about to death to all existence; if he's still running around, it would be to keep trying to bring Death to the world.

Eh, there's no mention of a faked death, that's only speculation. Before WotLK, one might assume that his death was faked because he shows up in WoW, but now that we've seen Mal'ganis again, I think it's more likely that killing them sends them to the Nether, whereupon they can simply come back. The Nether is their home, after all.
It's possible that they can be killed by
decapitation
, though. Vampires and all that.
On the other hand, the quest implies that you take the head as proof of the kill, rather than to prevent him from returning...

Whoa, wait... what?
E: Vampires and all that.
Eh, I see the San'layn as the vampires. Dreadlords may be vampiric, but they don't seem like vampires too much now.

Right; actually, thinking on it...wonder if the fact that they 'die' in a cloud of bats is a clue; maybe you have to completely destroy the body before that happens and their spirits/souls/essences get free...as that's what Sylvanas did to Dethoc apparently.
who do you think Lady Deathwhisper was.
Whoa, wait... what?
You never heard those jokes?
I think its questionable, because in Path of the Damned, (I think that was the short story about him) he realized too late what a horrible mistake he made. And he still loved his kitty. So if the Lich King is good now, some of his better qualities might surface. But i guess we will have to wait and see what happens with him and Bolvar later along in the game.
Yes...and he still went willing along in the grand plan to corrupt Arthas, slaughter thousands in Lordaeron, and all the rest of the 'fun' things he did. KT lost himself at some point and willing accepted the Scourge as his truth; he also died with a smile on his face as he finally reached what all Cultists wanted: Death and resurrection.
