Uh, no, there won't be a revolution. Getting a job would be less of an effort.
You're being silly.
On a less extreme note. The problem is clearly not solved. Our economy is still in the process of recovering from a massive blow because of stupid consumerism.
Our economy is in the process of being *!@#ed up the ass by big government which is supposedly to fix what happened the last time it was %^&*ed up the ass by big government.
Let's bail out all the failing companies and banks
is probably the worst thing you can do. Because then those companies keep doing this things that caused them to fail.

It's happened in the past
Considering there has never been a free market in existence, I find it funny that apparently they've been overthrown.
The problem is clearly not solved
.
Obviously. Because we're not a free market.

Increased poverty is a result of a free market
money is eventually transferred to a smaller and smaller portion of the population.
Because unfounded claims Я us, right?
You were saying that simply letting consumers drive themselves to poverty solves the problem.
Yes, because anyone who's stupid enough to not buy themselves the essentials before buying luxuries will find themselves starving, and will either die or learn their lesson.

Ah, but in this case WoW is the best I can get. I guess what really bother's me is that I know they have the capability to offer me so much more for my dollar and yet they don't. If they would pump, even just a quarter of their profits back into the company they could offer us several new raids and dungeons every month without even breaking a sweat.
Everyone who plays WoW could probably spare an extra $15 a month....so should we get all hissy that they aren't?

But what happens when those people are supporting the infrastructure of your country?
If they're stupid consumers, then how can they be supporting our infrastructure?
They're either starving themselves (free market)....and thus not supporting anything.
Or getting handouts (socialism)....supporting something while leaching off another thing for a net gain of 0.
The people who support the infrastructure are the good consumers. They make their money by contributing to the economy, and they then spend their money wisely, contributing again. Gain of +2.
They come and rob you at gunpoint. You see what I'm getting at?
I shoot back?
You're taking extreme cases. Obviously getting a #$%^ing job and changing your buying habits is easier and makes more sense, and more people can and will do it.
Should we ask for more or be happy with what we have? Hmm, I know I always want more of everything, so I'm sticking with that.
So does Blizzard. Your self-righteous claim that your desire for money is justified while theirs isn't is silly.

So you want me to feel that my right to money, is less important than Blizzard's right to money?
And where did I say that?
No one has a "right to money."
Both of you desire money. And for you to claim that your desire is justified, but theirs isn't is hypocritical and silly.
I'm always going to think I deserve more money than Blizzard
Yes, because playing a game is so much harder than creating and running a game.
As for the other stuff you just keep ignoring the fact that we suffered a huge economic recession because of stupid spending
The depression only exists because the government has been trying to patch the economy up for years (decades), and won't the the economy correct itself. Bad bank would normally just die out, but if the government keeps bailing them out, their going to fall a lot harder the second time.
You just gona pretend that didn't happen
Are you going to pretend the government hasn't had its hand up the economy's ass for the last hundred years?
I'm going to bed. Watch

You want me to sit here and say its cool that im paying 2,900% markup. That's not going to happen. I don't like it. I don't have to like it. I'll pay it because I can't buy my WoWcrack anywhere else, but I don't have to like it.
The government had to get involved in the first place b/c the economy was a nightmare thanks to big business. It's a nightmare again thanks to big business, except this time consumers had the power to stop it, and they just threw that power away. I've never understood why so many people view the government as the opposition. The government is the people. That's what makes this country great. If anything big businesses are the enemy, when they are allowed to get few in number and run unchecked they funnel money from the majority into the minority. Competition is the heart of capitalism. If you let a few businesses grow too big and crush all the others, there is no competition anymore.
If you don't like paying a 2900% markup, don't. Plain and simple. You obviously don't feel that you're getting your money's worth out of the game. Blizzard isn't even the company that set the precedent of the $15 a month subscription fee. Everquest charged that back in the 90s, when $15 was actually worth more than it is now, and I'm sure if you look back, other companies were charging around the same price. You're also basing your math of of 2004s numbers, which aren't the same as they are today. How many more servers have been added to accommodate the 12 million people that play the game? True, with the additional income from a more subscriptions, it probably balances out fairly well, but at the same time, you're math is incomplete. I didn't see the cost to upkeep the servers, hardware upgrades, or anything like that.
Saying that the government should control the pricing of MMORPGs is quite simply ridiculous. With all the other problems that our government has, the pricing of luxury goods isn't even worth noting.
Also, saying that they should be providing additional raids and dungeons each month is insane. The vast majority of WoW players weren't able to do much of the end game content in Vanilla, or BC. Some guilds still haven't killed the Lich King. If they were to do as you suggest and add new stuff every month, they would have to make all the content retarded easy or very few people would ever be able to keep up. More content doesn't always make a better game.
Ultimately, I feel that you're QQing just to QQ. If you felt so strongly about not liking the markup, you would quit paying, as that would be one step towards achieving your goal of lowering the fee. Most of WoWs competitors have gone F2P, so you could try them.
One more side note. If you truly believe that our government in it's current iteration is "of the people" you don't pay as much attention as you try to sound like you do. Big business pretty much runs the government. Dig a little into any politician, and I'm sure you'll find a large company backing him somewhere along the line. Keep that in mind.
I'll step off my soapbox now.

What exactly do you think lowering the price of WoW would achieve? That just lowers the chore allowance cap 12 year olds need to play this game...

Yes we do; if you don't, as said on other threads, stop playing the game, as 15 bucks a month isn't bad.
