P.S> I think LupineDruid is back.P.S.: I don't think that's LupineDruid.
Still, why is every troll in the cataclysm forums said to be LupineDruid again? It's not LupineDruid, it's that other guy.
Still, the original faces didn't look very fierce. And I don't mind a more fierce look (prefer it, in fact), but I think the perma-snarl isn't the way to accomplish it.And that's where I think we differ: I don't think the alpha faces looked particularly "fierce" (except in combat), but I don't think the current faces look "fierce" at all. The alpha faces look like they might bite you if you got on their bad side; the current ones look like they're going to yap at you from a safe distance.

Just throwing a quick "I think you all know when I would say"-note here. But please folks, don't derail a thread just because you think a poster is someone else - banned or otherwise.

All right, then. I still stand by my original statement about the female worgen models: The alpha faces look like they might bite you if you got on their bad side; the current ones look like they're going to yap at you from a safe distance.
(By "a safe distance," by the way, I mean "out of kicking range.")

And on topic, I hate the female Worgen's hair...looks plastered on and sometimes looks like sub-par photoshopping. It's one of the few things I'd call an improvement on the alpha—looks smoother—but it's still not that great. And again: why the hell does the style of "true" form's mane not correspond with human form's hair?
Also, the fact that you can't change the hair/mane color annoys me. It's the same issue that tauren have all over again.
My point is that I know that they were trying to go with a more aggressive look, and I do appreciate that they did. I don't think they've quite got the aggressive look down for the females, though. They do have the bulbous forehead of a chihuahua, and now that you've mentioned that... that's all I can see.Sure, they were
trying
, but I don't think they got it. I was hoping for a scruffier, more angular version of the alpha model, not...
that
. It reminds me of some of the preliminary sketches; not the good one, either.
And yeah; bulbous forehead and upturned/dished muzzle.

I don't hate anything about the worgen that I hate about any of the other races.

Well...I
did
like most of what I saw of the first more-or-less complete female models. And I like the face at the bottom left corner of
this image
. And with the exception of the sparkle one, I like their jokes (especially the female one about bacon and the male one about liking meat raw).

Why don't you list the things you
like
about worgen instead. No sense in hating for hates sake.
Because there are very little things I like about the worgen. No sense? Seriously? All the hatred people had for worgen has decreased now, but you will find it once again as soon as they go live. They will be the blood elves of this expansion.
Since you insist, things I like about worgen are 1 - I guess playing a humanoid wolf (not werewolf) and probably nothing else.
Hating for hate's sake? No, I hate things for a reason. Here I go:
1 - that they can transform to/from humans just like generic werewolves
Because this wasn't needed at all. Because it makes them like any other werewolf.
2 - permanent snarl on face
Whats the purpose of a snarl? To please the kids I suppose. Snarl makes an animal look more ferocious. I don't see all the real world snarling all the time but they do look ferocious to me. I also hate the grin that bear druids have to
bear
all the time. (Ok, bad pun)
3 - male worgen dance
Ok, maybe this is just a personal choice, forget it.
4 - that they don't have their own 2nd levelling zone (ie they go to darkshore after gilneas)
No need to explain this one I guess.
5 - that they don't get their own capital city
I know goblins don't get one too but this thread is about worgen. Even though they already had a city, they don't get to own it.
6 - that they don't have their own mounts
Do I need to say more? I'm a mount fanatic.
7 - that they get running wild because Blizzard didn't have any idea about what mounts they should give them and trying to justify running wild seems perfect for them. For me, running on all fours, a - when you have fingers on fore limbs, b - are wearing gloves/gauntlets, c - your fore limbs are shorter than your hind limbs, doesn't make any sense at all. But, in a fantasy game where you can shoot fireballs and stuff, I don't think this is so crazy.
They get something which druids have been asking since ages. If its anyone who shouldn't have the requirement of a mount, the druids should be the first. And the rest is explained already
8 - they don't get paladins even though they are former humans
No paladins for former humans? Why? Any lore given? hopefully, its mentioned in the quests.
There you go, reason why I hate.

I suppose that's just some people's logic: If you're less than impressed with something, you must be "hating for hate's sake." Especially if it's popular.
Because, don't you know? No one with any standards could
ever
sincerely hold an unpopular opinion for any reason other than to just be a cuss...
That said, I think there simply wasn't a Silver Hand chapter in Gilneas when the wall went up. That's not to say that there are no paladins of Gilnean lineage; it's to say that they weren't there to get hit by the curse.
(And my captcha referenced
Dragonlance
. I don't like
Dragonlance
. I still found it amusing.)

I think it was more likely any Paladins of the Silver Hand who had a Gilneas background refused to go behind the Wall when Graymane withdrew, more then likely disgusted with their kinsman's actions.

in
Gilneas, and any paladins who were Gilnean nationals chose loyalty to their order over loyalty to a homeland that was becoming increasingly isolationist. Therefore, they weren't there to get cursed.

Aye, and why there are no new ones, could be several things; 1. The Curse corrupts the connection to the Light and you can't call on the Church's light. 2. The Church of the Light has been tossed aside in favour of Elune and the Night Elves. 3.....well three is simply, they are beasts and can't be Paladins.

Well yeah, there's that too...but that's really no fun to say heh, I'd rather think on things and consider why instead of 'duh'. Of course, the Worgen start off with most of the Classes anyways, didn't need Shamans and Paladins too.

*cue sound of Lolotea destroying cheap souvenir mugs at the thought of certain combos*
), but I'm inclined to agree.

Aye /sighs at the thoughts of Human Shamans, Gnome Druids, Forsaken Paladins, Draenei Warlocks....crap, can't really think of too many lore breakers horde side; beyond Tauren Warlocks, and Forsaken Druids.....

It should, however, be noted that I'm
not
one of those individuals bugged by the idea of gnome hunters. In fact, if more restrictions were dropped in some later expansion, I'd actually be in favor of gnomes getting hunter or paladin. (Provided stealth draeninjas happened simultaneously, but let's not go there now, shall we?)
