I don't feel like reading all this m
ao
oaning so I am sorry if this isn't relevant.
But Rogues are a little OP at level 19. If you don't like it, go and level or something and hit 80 PvP when it actually matters.
Got hit for 1k damage just a minute ago (800 ambush crit, 200+ melee). I just thought "Wow that's stupid" and then forgot about it because it doesn't matter.

Once Cata comes out, and the 1-60 experience is a large part of the game, I think it's going to matter quite a bit. Rogues can make BGs extremely unplayable for some, and being unable to learn how to play your character properly in these brackets can be very frustrating for a new player. They're going to just assume they don't know what they're doing and perhaps give up, when in actuality it's just a broken mechanic.
For now, I agree it's not a priority. But after Cata, I definitely think there should be some careful tuning put into place on all classes and specs.

Even when Cataclysm comes out, the emphasis is going to be on leveling not doing WSG I think, and the PvP will still be balanced around end level.

The new beta changes have nerfed Ambush very heavily, from what I've seen. Almost everything else was nerfed too, but I saw Ambush and smiled.

Rogues can 1 shot people at low level brackets. True.
So can warriors.
and pallies.
And they shouldn't be exempt from the same balancing. I admit, the huge damage increases across the board is really, really nice for solo leveling (two-shotting mobs with almost any of my toons makes for very little downtime), but in PvP it's just ridiculous.
Again, these low-level brackets shouldn't be looked at as, "Oh, they're broken, so don't use them." Low-level PvP is a great way for a newer player to learn their class and the mechanics of PvP. Without it, you have a lot more people hitting 80 and going, "Okay, how do I PvP?" Without getting to know the rock-paper-scissors balance of PvP, they're just going to be running fodder -- and no one wants that on their team.
Who hasn't seen an Ele Shaman just stand there and try to roll a PvE rotation, only to get smeared as soon as a Warrior charges in? It's these kind of players who haven't gotten to experience PvP, and don't know to Ghost Wolf away, lay down the Earthbind, and Frost Shock to keep their distance. Instead they end up being told, "L2P noob." But when they tried in the lower brackets, they were just getting one-shot.
I agree rogues aren't the only broken class. In fact, I think just damage across the board is a bit too high. But... all just my opinions. :P

That video made me LOL pretty hard.
But I guess I should clarify -- I wasn't talking about classes being rock-paper-scissors, but more the strategy involved in dealing with another player. Such like, "Okay, I got sapped, I don't trinket out, now the rogue cheap shot me, I trinket out, frost nova, blink, he'll sprint to break the frost nova, I'll freeze him..." etc. etc.
That, to me, is more what PvP is about -- using scissors on paper, and when they use rock, you use hammer. Getting one-shot kind of skips all that.. :P
