Chimera is #1 priority. 2nd rotation looks better. You should go by testing on dummies instead of looking just at dungeons stats.
I personally wouldn't have any points in Rapid Killing if I wasn't levelling or going through dungeons uber fast non stop. 2/2 Bombardment would help you more with AoEing.

1. Unsure of multi shot question, I haven't played for a week or so.
2. If you treat Chimera as 2nd, what's the point of speccing into it? For me I notice that Arcane does the top
overall
damage because you fire more of them, but
individual
shots of Chimera still beat Arcane. It's also received a buff today:
Chimera Shot now deals 28.8% of Ranged AP + 973 damage. Up from 24% of Ranged AP + 401.
3. If you have focus issues, then you're not doing the rotation right and you'll get higher DPS if you manage your focus. You're not meant to arcane spam on dummies. Practise the Chimera > Serpent once > double Steady > Arcane > double Steady > Chimera > Arcane. Rather than spamming Arcane until it's as low as it can go, you're supposed to save just enough focus so that you can use Chimera as soon as it's off cool down. Arcane is
focus dump
, used when you have extra focus to bleed off.

Ah yes on short fights it kind of doesn't work out. But when talking about dps issues we're usually referring to raid bosses & longer fights.
Regardless of what you're seeing of Chimera at its current stage, if you have any intention of playing your hunter through to Cata, you should definitely get used to treating Chimera as the #1 because it
is
MM's signature shot. Things will get balanced so it reflects that fact.
Testing on dummies will help you test over a longer period of time, if you do want to find out where the majority of your dps is coming from. More accurate than just dungeon results because you won't have buffs from other classes.
Have a look at

I don't think you should be macroing Rapid Fire & Steady Shot together. You certainly don't want to blow your Rapid Fire on trash do you. :/
I macro my ferocity pet buffs in with Rapid Fire e.g. Call of the Wild (all ferocity pets), Furious Howl (wolf) & Roar of Courage (kitty). Then Rapid Fire is activated at the start of the fight, rather than when you start casting steadies.
I've read somewhere that it's optimal to just go double steady rather than triple or quadruple steady. Because I wonder if your
Improved Steady Shot
buff would have gotten close to falling off by the time you've casted 4 Arcanes in a row.
Umm why do you have a 20hit gem when you're already way over hit cap? Should use a
Glinting Dreadstone
instead. If you really want to maximise dps you can reforge the extra hit to mastery but since you're at the point of upgrading gear pretty fast you can probably wait a bit.

You start of with SrS>RF>Chimera>2xSS>Arcane>2xSS an so on. Allways start with SrS you want to have it up from the start of the fight.
See

Serpent sting should actually be after Chimera shot, Chimera shot no longer deals extra damage based on serpent sting, so you're actually delaying the CD on chimera by the GCD.

Why do you macro furious howl? Why not just keep it on autocast. It has 45 sec CD, it last 60 sec and has no resource cost, it's meant to be active 100% time.
Lol I had it from pre-patch, so I still have it off autocast at the start then activate autocast when I'm in combat. But I hadn't realised that it lasts 60 secs now, thanks for the heads up.

What?
I think you misread the post, guy. As noted by at least one of the spells changing being a level 83 Holy spell, these were BETA changes.

I acknowledge this, and apologise for not having made it clear. But the gist is this:
Regardless of what you're seeing of Chimera at its current stage, if you have any intention of playing your hunter through to Cata, you should definitely get used to treating Chimera as the #1 because it is MM's signature shot.
If you see improvements on Beta, it's likely to reflect what will happen in Cata. So you might as well start doing things how you should eventually be doing them. The fact is that at this stage, Chimera is continuously getting buffed.
According to Kripparrian you should start with SrS. Why, well Chimera still refreshes SrS though no extra dmg, btw is stupid that it doesnt anymore with our nerfs. The main reason is to keep the ticks going from the beginning and not after two seconds, thats dmg lost. So yes SrS first.
Most of the time I still start off with SrS because of old habits, and the truth is: any difference, if any, are not noticeable. The time between an SrS and the first Chimera is not 2 seconds. When running dungeons I find it more effective to get used to beginning with Chimera because my focus between one mob and the next is rarely at 100%. Often if I start with SrS, I won't have enough focus for Chimera (which does more damage than a few SrS tickets).

Well CS scales more with better weapon I believe. Without buffs my arcanes are like average 5.5k whereas CS averages 8.7k. Mega difference.
