Source? I've never heard this (not that I pay attention), but I'd like a source.

It's complicated, but yeah, the Chinese have been undervaluing their currency relative to the dollar to ensure that the US can continue to buy from them, because we're their number one consumer. I have no idea how to source that though. Just google it.

Apparently they recently tried to fix it.

The simple matter of the fact is that a large portion of US citizens aren't really aware of what's going on outside their country.
Also, other stereotypical qualities include being religious and patriotic. I am not saying that actually is usually the case but neither of those are held in high regard here where I live.
People like generalization. And that's where stereotypes hop in. And the "stereotypical American" is a rather annoying person and quite slow.
Not that I have ever met one in real life. I have only visited California though, and that was when I was eight years old. I really liked it, however, but I can't remember too much from the trip.
Too bad Wowhead and especially worldofwarcraft.com forums tell a lot grimmer tale.

- The huge amount of religious morons. In most civilized countries(aka, the people you'll most likely find here) religion is a joke. A total non-issue. For Americans it's a big issue, because of that people like that are fighting against the rights of gays or are blowing up abortioncenters.
- Your presidents
- The total big air of a lot of Americans still thinking they're living in the 50's and that they're living in the best country in the world.
- European propaganda
- 50% Opposes the bill care system which is second nature with most people outside of the US on here.
- Starting a war because of religion, power and greed.
- Personal experience with people having no idea where ground 0 is in Manhattan NY after asking it to 5 Americans while we were 3 blocks away or about 2 kilometers. Another tourist eventually helped me out.
You know, these are some small issues I have with the US.
edit:
Like religion.
Same could be said for atheism. /shrug
Proving my point...
America seems to have a lot of deluded persons running around. More so then other first world countries it seems at least.

and that they're living in the best country in the world.
If you like your country, then it is the best in the world. There is no "best" country. Sure, some may be more stable or have better economies or whatever, but if you like your country, then it is the best country in the world -for you.
which is second nature with most people outside of the US on here.
Doesn't mean it's a good thing. Imo health care overhaul does need to happen, but Obama screwed it over big time.

Lots of people, especially those newly moved to the area, probably don't know where it is.

Have I ever said I hate smug, condescending atheists like you?
E: I should explain I don't hate atheists. It's your choice, that's fine with me. But I hate atheists who act like they're better than everybody else and sneer down their noses and religious people.

but that the atheist's inferiority condemned him to eternal torment.
Aye. TBH, I hate it when people tell me I'm going to hell because I'm not part of whatever obscure evangelical sect it is.
That's why I love Mormonism so much.
PS- is your icon there Orko?
E: No, it's the Black Mage from 8-bit theater.
E2: I feel I should explain that 8-bit Theater is a sprite comic, and I hear that it uses FF sprites. So if Orko is from FF, then yes I suppose this is him. But I chose it because the Black Mage is my new favorite character.

Just out the top of my head for the 20th century alone.
- One of the reason Hitler wanted the Jews dead was because they killed Jesus => Religion
- After the war the Jews get Israel because of that => Religion
- The 2 nominations of Islams fighting over there => Religion
I can go on really...

I'm not talking about "a feeling" here I'm talking about facts. Many Americans still think their education is top of the world f.ex.

I do not respect a 30 year old guy believing Santa Claus is real. I'm sorry for that.
Besides, it's not a choice, the thought you even think it is is laughable. I can not make myself belief in something I know ain't true.

No, you couldn't go on.
Not a single one of those
were started or pursued by the U.S.
Focus!

I do not respect a person who disrespects people about belief in a holy being (fail troll is fail btw).
And it's not a choice for me to walk away from a religion that I know
is
true.
