I would like to point out that the scariest and, arguably, my favorite Dead Space is a Wii exclusive.

You know thinking about it.....the PS3 does have the best stuff heh; they get the exclusive access to the Squaresoft and Enix libraries, over the other two companies, and while Squareenix does put out multiplatform versions of some of their games, I've heard, from friends and the like, that some of the games(FF13) are a little better on the PS3, since you don't have to worry about disc crashing like you do for the 360 version, since the PS3 version has just one disc to the multidisc of the 360. Only thing that sucks is there is no backward compatibility to the PS3 anymore.
That being said, that's the main reason I want the PS3 more....plus, hardcore PS fan since I was younger, and watching the complete and utter blunder Nintendo made during the days of the N64(cartridges heh, so silly), which means that Squaresoft wanted nothing to do with them...and Nintendo snubbed them too, which gave the PS the superior RPG's, though, the Xbox had one or two good ones, as did the GC(not that there were all that many in the States/Canada for it).

I still find the most amusing thing though, is that Nintendo had a chance at a merger with Sony to create a CD-Rom style console(the early prototype of what would become a playstation), but said no to the deal and decided to keep working with cartridge based consoles, citing the Sega CD as the reason to not to do so...then get blown out of the water(alright maybe not blown, but still hit hard) by the Playstation and the short lived, but incredibly popular Sega Dreamcast with the ROM tech heh.

I don't know, the N64 was still pretty boss: Goldeneye, Super Mario 64, LoZ: OoT, etc.
I mean, the PS1 had some great games too (Silent Hill, Resident Evil, etc.) but you can't exactly discount the N64 altogether. Nintendo is fantastic at first-party games.
Apparently it has a lot of 3rd party support on the Wii U too.

Yeah, but do you remember how long it took for the N64 games to come out? Compared to the PS and the Dreamcast even, which could get their games out fairly quickly, you saw a long period between releases, not to mention at the actual release of the N64 you had three choices: Mario, Pilotwings, and whatever that third game was. PS had a wide selection off the back.
And you kinda of can: compare RE 2 for the PS and the one for the N64.....which was the better game? Easily the PS one, which had the cut scenes, the better(at least I though so) controller. The only thing the N64 version had going for it was the lower loading times, since it was on the cartridge....but still, was a pale version of the PS one.
They were also considering porting FF7 over to the N64...till they realized it would take 3-4 cartridges to do so, and that's without the cinematics.
So yeah, the N64 had some good series on it, but compared to the competition, it was a bit of a dinosaur. And for mentioning the party games....I've never seen that as a good thing, but that's mainly because I hate those type of games. That's my main issue with the Wii, beyond the motion control stuff; way too many party games, not enough 'solid' ones for me, that you can't get on other consoles or from better companies. I've been tempted to touch the Crystal Chronicles game on the Wii, but have come up against the meh, but that's mainly cause I'm not a huge fan of the gameverse. Heh, the only Wii RPG I have is Fire Emblem after all.
Edit: Oh, and on the Wii U....still made me laugh "Yes, these are graphics from the games our competitors are putting out, but trust us: The Wii U will look just as great!"....oh Nintendo, you do so many silly things; damn them for having a near monopoly on Sega and deciding which of the old Genesis games get released or not! Give the PSN access to the Shining Force series damn it!

The question is though, will they keep them? Nintendo has always had that problem, as they want to keep their games in house.

I don't know about that; the GC didn't have a lot of other company games on it, or at least, non-Nintendo owned/partnered ones, and the Wii is sorta the same, with those games that they share with the competitors seeming to be on the download over their own releases. I think the Wii U will end up the same; honestly, probably why the only reason I like the DS is due to them actually breaking their standard moves on that system...but damn Squareenix for not releasing KH DDS on the PSP instead heh, meh oh well, can still hope for KH3 to a PS3 exclusive.

But dinosaurs are awesome! :O
Heh, honestly I didn't own a N64, I just played my cousins, and we weren't allowed to get any M rated games for the PS1 and I wasn't and am still not a fan of the new-school FF games, (i.e. FF7 and onwards), so my selection wasn't very broad.
My first console (the PS1 was my brother's, and we had like two games) as the Gamecube, which I liked a lot. Granted, I missed several good games, like God of War and Silent Hill 2 and Shadow of the Colossus, but I really enjoyed Metroid Prime, SSBM, Super Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Beyond Good & Evil, and so on.
My Wii has been fun (LoZ: Twilight Princess, SSBB, Metroid Prime 3, Dead Space) but I switched over to PC for Steam and all their great games.
Can't beat a system that let's you download full games to your hard drive that you paid a quarter of the original price for while you post on Wowhead... :P Plus, you can fully customize your hardware and display settings: you can opt for saving money and use only the bare minimum monitor and graphics and audio cards and RAM, etc., or you can build yourself a kickass monster gaming machine that shrugs at Crysis 2. Either way,
you
get to choose what you want, rather than choosing between one of three prebuilt packages.
There are some flaws (one of the most annoying I've encountered is simply that ports originally designed to be controlled by an analog stick with pressure sensitivity is difficult to control with a keyboard; on Just Cause 2, driving is a mite difficult--though hilarious--because holding down the forward key is treated as the same as tilting your joystick all the way forward, so you go speeding along at 90 mph), but those can be dealt with. Plus, they do sell controllers for PC if you want to buy one, so...

I've never been a PC gamer; we didn't get our first home comp till I was like 10 or 11, and it was a PoS. Heh, one of the first games I played was actually Tides of Darkness, but other then that, didn't really care all that much. I agree that there are some things on the PC that are good for gaming, but the graphic requirements are a PITA at times; honestly, other then the Blizzard games, I just don't care that much, as most of what I want are available on the consoles. I've tried some emulators, and had some fun, but the PSN and the Virtual Console...meh, I guess.
Though as a note, Beyond Good and Evil was cross platform so...heh, my copy is for the PS2. Like I've said before, my first console was a NES, which I got when I was 5; after that though, I went to a Sega and only got a SNES a few years later; most of the time I just borrowed my cousin's or used a friends if I wanted to play on it. I don't know, I agree Nintendo is a good company, but for all the complaints about Playstation, there are just as many about Nintendo and Mircosoft; but it's always seemed like my favorite brands and company were on the PS(again, due to the fact that Nintendo made a bit of a mistake, and the Xbox went for the more 'mature'((ie FPS, which other then one or two titles I absolutely loath)) titles).

can still hope for KH3 to a PS3 exclusive.
Meh. I vote no.
And also, you really can't discount the N64 when you consider that, while it did have less games and cartridges, not only were the loading times a lot lower, but you also had games like OoT, MM, GoldenEye, etc, that are considered masters. There were several classic and incredibly enjoyable games that came out on the N64.
You may not like it, but you can't discount it without making your
opinion
an objective fact, which only asses do.

Of course it's my own personal opinion; I was never a fan of the N64, beyond OoT and Super Mario 64: the Nintendo exclusive franchises available back then just didn't interest me. I gave the Donkey Kong 64 game a shot, but I personally found it meh compared to the original series on the SNES and what they did to Star Fox.....yeah, let's not mention that alright?
But, compared to the other systems at the time, Nintendo did get the games out slower, and the fact that the CD based games could have rendered cut scenes hurt them too. Nintendo bounced back for a while with the GC, but with the mini-disk player, they ended up hurting themselves a little there too, since the PS2 and Xbox could also be used as DVD players and the like. The main thing though, that I dislike about Nintendo is what they do when a new console comes out: as soon as the new version is out, the old one is left in the dust, with maybe 10-15 games coming out before the official 'shut down'. Look at the things with the GBA and the DS, and the GC and the Wii itself: the finale game for the GC? A Twilight Princess port(which, I still like more then the Wii one).
