Not too many honestly, I was theorycrafting in the theater, primarily once the whole "Solo's his father" thing was dropped I figured Ren and Rey were going to be the new Jacen/Jaina but that got shot out of the water like the moment they called him Ben. I'm kind of trying to not predict anything because predictions make expectations and I enjoyed the movie a lot more I think because I
didn't
have any expectations.
tbh though
i just
want to give kylo ren a hug
I don't care that he's not super menacing or ridiculous
i love him for being a total loser
I only have one theory:
Maz is Force-sensitive.
This explains how she knew so well that Rey had Luke's saber calling to her and that she was able to tell so much - aside from the whole "live long enough" business - and why she was so invested in the fight against the Dark Side and the Light despite being a bartender.
This ALSO means that Finn is Force-sensitive and NOT just well-trained, as why else would she give HIM Luke's saber over, say, Solo or even Leia who were closer to Luke? Because she knew he would be able to use it better than them because the Force was in him.
I also like to think Poe was Force-sensitive as well but that's just a tinfoil hat speculation based on my own idea of "we're going to be seeing a LOT of Force user coming out of the woodwork on both sides for the final showdown"
Now, if you don't mind, I'm off to play Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy and the menagerie of other Star Wars games I just bought.
Maz is most defianetly force-sensitive (a species thing perhaps? Like with the Miraluka).
What I think is that Finn actually doesn't have any Force in him and him getting the saber was Maz having a precognition of some sort to know that he was gonna find Rey and thus pass the saber to her.
Poe may have some force-sensitivity in him and thus enhancing his abilities as a pilot. Or maybe not.
I also subscribe to the theory that Rey is the daughter of Luke.
As a side note, the Star Wars New Canon Bookclub does some good theory crafting in their movie episode.
Oh Rey is DEFINITELY Luke's daughter. I figured the Lightsaber calling to her bit confirmed that, as well as the whole "whoever you're waiting for, they're never coming back. but there is someone" exchange. As well as her having had premonitions about the island - Anakin had a lot of premonitions about those he was closest to.
How I think it went down:
Luke had a wife and was training the next order of Jedi,
Wife got pregnant and MAYBE had young Rey
Ben Solo goes all Dark Side, kills everyone Luke had been training and Luke leaves everyone behind because he feels so responsible
Wife hides out, but eventually just hides Rey alone on Jakku while she eventually get killed.
Years pass, movie ensues.
This ALSO might be able to be tied into why Ren was all "WHAT girl?" when the officer told him about it. Personally, even for Ren, I thought that was a BIT of an overration - UNLESS he maybe knew something.
I also find it possible that Disney's taking a page from the EU and might have Luke wife/Rey mother be Force-sensitive as well, that would explain why she is SO much more powerful than Ren even without training.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm having the Nostalgia Trip of the century

And in other news: Steam is completely and utterly broken at the moment. Apperently people are getting logged into wrong accounts. So if you have linked Paypal to your Steam, better unlink it (via Paypal's site, NOT Steam) and not touch anything in Steam

Ok, seems that I was wrong on the login part. It would appear that only some information is getting displayed, no full access to the account in question.

Actual RP question: which group would the Disciples in Arak encounter first?

Could be either. Whichever you want to I suppose.

It might make more sense to start with the other first since they're already more acquainted/established.

Well that confusingly vague.

Yeah. I meant other
group,
as in Lyris and Ven. Mainly because there's some dialogue I think we ought to get out of the way first with Vorguss and Vahij, before anyone else shows up.

Yep, realized that RIGHT after I posted. But I hit the same train of thought at you beforehand anyway.

The Old Republic also has Force Lightning. And doesn't require playing Force Unleashed...

I'll probably pick up ToR too, but, hey, FU (... LOL!) came with the game pack I bought, expansion and all, so might as well, right? Plus I remember playing the Wii version years ago so playing game on PC should be good.

What's wrong with Force Unleashed?

What's wrong with Force Unleashed?
It had an awful story focused on a character who seems like they tried to make him more annoying than Jar Jar?
