So my big villain here is Life's Bane. Ar'antar (Whose identity I don't want to reveal quite yet.) is basically just his puppet. So Life's Bane was the god of a world that was destroyed by the Burning Crusade. He;s similar to the naaru where he has a light side (Life's Hope) and a dark side (Life's Bane.) if he dies he reincarnates as the opposite form. He ruled his world benevolently as Life's Hope, until its destruction. Life's Hope died in the chaos, and his body was destroyed, his powers stripped from him.
He reincarnated as Life's Bane and wandered the Beyond for millenniums, searching for revenge against the Legion. But what he needed is an energy source to restore his powers. He found the Sunwell as his answer, but it was destroyed before he could get to it. Infiltrating the Legion (As that Terrorguard we saw way back in the beginning) he discover Kil'jaedan's plan of restoring the Sunwell.
So this 'game' he's been playing is really just to orchestrate his safe arrive to the Isle of Quel'danas (He is extremely weak and vulnerable) and his consumption of the Sunwell, reverting him to godhood.
What I was thinking of happening next is after the culmination of things with the Dragonmaw, Groth and Gorshank would find Ahab(And whoever survives the Dragonmaw.) The Keeper would also show up, offering rewards and powers to the players in return for their help at the Isle.
Then there would be the reveal of what's in the spoiler box and the big showdown.
So what do you think? Too god-mody/controlling? Too difficult to pull off? Boring?

Hmmm...
It might be a bit difficult to pull off not because of lack of set up or boring, but rather the already present factions. We have several who we know are already going to the Sunwell to face off, so if we wanted to use him, we'd have to slip him in somewhere. Not impossible mind you, but we'd need to figure out where he'd figure into it.
I think it could work if we engineered it right though. His objective is probably the biggest, but not necessarily the most engaging to the heroes presently, as he doesn't have a huge personal presence with any of them right now. So we have to keep that in mind a bit when everything is happening.

Okay, good. Please let me know about any ideas you have to make this work out right. I'm certainly open to any recommendations. (And I realized that the players currently don't have a real connection, which was why I invented the Keeper as a sort of catalyst.) Do you think it could work with Ar'antar meeting with the players at Dragonmaw? (After everything is finished there, of course.)

The moment I stepped out it starts pissing rain like the storm god game back from his months long vacation black out drunk and just burst.
The second I get back, clear skies.
why
Because driving in the rain is fun and relaxing?

I think that might work best, really. I'd be happy to discuss it further. If you prefer privacy, I could give you my email or something of the like.

Speaking of which, haven't seen any of you lot on steam.
Haven't seen you on steam. What have you been up to?
Work. And home internet is sh*t as hell, so I just sort of hang on my work computer and troll Youtube, Reddit, and the Warframe forums.
Also tried my hand at making a Warframe Tabletop RPG thing, so there's not 100+ pages of utter nonsense on the internet.
So, you know, nothing new there.
And at the moment I'm trying to DL the latest WoW patches on this *!@# internet to get access to the Model Viewer again. Because I've apparently gone mad like that.
Out of curiosity: was it the british accent or p*ss that made you think of steam?

I think it was this, actually.

So, what HAVE these guys done with the place? I'm imagining a large number of those flesh things, but what else be happening?

It's mostly in the crypts. She's basically turned them into the medieval version of a biological workshop, experimenting on different sorts of lifeforms to try and create the most effective predator. From the surface little has changed, aside from being used as a bit of a testing ground for the more 'urban' of her creations. The guys in black are basically hired guns.

You guys will never believe this, but I actually have a story arc in mind for the Forsaken in Hinterlands! Isn't THAT nuts?
For once my characters aren't just wandering around like tosspots a river!

Wait... didn't the Warlock escape? Turned into wind and flew away or something like that? That's what I got from undead's post, anyway.

Uh. No. She's laying on the ground webbed up. Because Caius just webbed her up.
hmm, okay. I sort of interpreted:
The figure was quick to release Lacey with a scream that devolved into a roar as her hands reached down and grabbed the dagger in her own hands and tore it out of her gut
standing up
. "This isn't over." She swore to Lacey before with a final scream
she faded from sight again and a rush of wind tore the top of the tent to shreds
.
As saying she made her escape via magic. But I'll make my next post accordingly.
