I'm not exactly happy with it though, and I think I'm going to end up deleting it and trying again. I didn't put in enough effort and the results are somewhat sloppy.
Still envious of the colouring on the throne and the spiky things (also the spinny things) though :P
Apologies for my post rate lately, everyone. The last couple weeks have not been kind, and what little free time I have is consumed by my LARP training.
On the plus side, I am now a man with a higher education, and come morrow I just might get a job at Ernst & Young.
And congrats Ald, hope all goes well with the new job :). Wouldn't worry too much about post rate really, outside of Gen 2 things haven't been moving fast at all.

If that's sloppy, I clearly have no idea what art is.

Hey guys!
Posting this from Tonasket Library. As some of you may have heard from Steam, we made it to Washington, but are presently camping while we wait for our house to sell. No need to worry about us, we're having a blast. I'm presently planning out an underground Soviet Command Point to make into my own little guest room that will connect with our eventual house on our land via tunnel (did I mention we're living on a little 20 acre piece of land we've own for almost 20 years?). So while it sucks having no electricity, plumbing, internet, phone signal, or running water, it's still pretty great living on our own land. Once our house sells, we'll actually be making an additional $1000 per month from not having to make the payments, so we won't have to be quite as poor... :P
Already making friends with the neighbors; they're great people, and I actually found an older Moldovan couple who go to our church and speak Russian. The lady, Luba, was a teacher, and the man, Nic, was some kind of Master Butcher, so I've already agreed to go work for them in return for Russian lessons, and might even apprentice under Nic and help him get a butchery business up and running, because the valley really needs one. I still plan to go to school though, so eventually I'll have to move to Republic (a nearby small town) and eventually Spokane or Seattle or something.
It's actually surprising, though, because of how hot this Summer is turning out to be, and how far Right the area leans politically. If it weren't for all the mountains, I'd feel like I was back in Texas. I'm getting back in shape, though, from digging holes and working for the neighbors and constantly walking uphill, and I've probably read more books while we've been camping than I did all last year.
Which reminds me: XD, I really would like you to read/listen to
this book
. Don't worry, it not about Communism or even Communists. We listened to it on the drive up, and it was brilliantly fascinating in the way it details the rise of Nazi Germany and the resistance that some Germans put up in secret. While there were a few Communists in the circles (seeing as, since the Communists were among the first to be arrested and put to death by the Nazis, they had obvious reasons to oppose the new government), most of the participants were actually just normal people. I enjoyed the book a huge deal, even if its ending was naturally rather sad, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in German history during the period.
So yeah. The computer automatically shuts off after 30 minutes, and I'm running out of time, but I just wanted to check in.

And good to hear you live, Skree!

Alrighty, will take a look into getting it then Skree, would be something to listen to while I'm on the train. Otherwise, nice to hear things are looking promising on your end and you should totally have a Maxim guarding the entrance for aesthetic effect :P
I'll have to remember to roll up in a SturmTiger if I ever visit though.

Your avatar looks familiar. But the amount of characters who look like an escapees from the burnward are too numerous these days for me to point one out specifically.

It's Kaneki, my new favorite cannibalistic woobie.
Kinda looks like something outta Tokyo Ghoul. or what I've seen of the character designs
Main character with his Ghoul Mask on....since if you are going to eat people and get into fights with the cops, it's best they don't know what your face looks like.
Edit:
Original image
; top is without the mask, bottom is obviously with it on.

If you haven't seen the source material...You should; it's got just the right amount of pure brutality mixed with the human factor. It's no Bokurano or Narutaru, but easily one of my new favorites, right up there with Attack On Titan.

Attack On Titan.
Ugh. Never got into that series. It seemed pointlessly visceral to me. Same reason I never really watched Dexter past the first episode.

There is a $%^& ton of gore in Titan...but the story is good if you enjoy survival things. The whole Titan mystery is still going strong and is interesting as well, and the current arc is the human factor compared to the monsters. It's only about 50 chapters right now, so good time to start it.
Tokyo Ghoul though...how to describe the first chapter..,,,and no, this isn't a spoiler since any description tells you off the back just what Kaneki becomes. So, boy meets girl, girl takes boy on a date, girl is the infamous glutton ghoul and attempts to eat the boy, girl is killed mysteriously after seriously injuring boy, and boy ends up with a piece of ghoul inside him, which makes him a half-ghoul which is why only one of his eyes go red when he ghouls out.
From there, there are three main themes: The humanity factor over the fact that the main character can now only get substance from human flesh and coffee; every thing else, animal meat vegetables fruit milk and the like, all taste like utter crap and provide no nourishment. The human vs ghoul factor which is exactly what you think it is; a few of the famous ghoul killers are the Glutton, the Perfectionist(only eats specific parts) so you get to watch the speicalized ghoul killing police unit hunt them. And the final factor is the pure monster: Ghoul vs Ghoul...or more accurately, half-ghoul vs ghoul, since poor Kaneki gets it a lot(here's a hint, because he's half-human, he's irresistible to ghouls). All in all, yes there is a lot of blood and gore, but it's well written, deep, and has quite bit a laughs for the sheer amount of woobing that poor Kaneki goes through.
Edit: And sorry lol, you know how I get about things I like :P At least I'm not badgering you all to read/watch Bokurano and Narutaru; I don't want to drive people into despair heh.

I think Joshua Graham counts as the most badass of these, though.
