Isn't the banish spell so that the one effected is immune to physical attacks but also unable to use physicall attacks? Something in the lines of punches and swords just slips thrugh.
Nope.
Banishment is like a reverse bubble. The target is removed from combat entirely.

So it's a CC now? Wasn't always so.
Back in my days (WC3) it was a physical immunity spell. Think it was so a while in wow too...

Since I've been playing (Burning Crusade) it's been a CC.
And it's saved my Warlock's like too many times to count.

Banish has always been a CC; one of the more annoying ones when you want to rush through something.

I can't even remember all of the spells that I've made up or altered for RP purposes...

So, just an FYI, I won't be posting as much next week. I'm taking a vacation to California from this Saturday to next Saturday.

Out of curiosity, would anyone be against a Balefire-type spell? (One that basically erases the target, leaving no hope of any kind of resurrection. Ever.)

Yes. We would.
We had that in one Makorr. And devoted a plotline to literally getting rid of it. Completely.

Ahahahahahahahaha!
I'm not laughing at you. It's just that your comment reminded me of when we used balefire in RP.

Ah, the good times of old Makorrs...
On a completely unrelated note, say a decisive "NO" to Balefire, today!

Balefire causes so many problems.

NEGATORY! Well my weekend started so I can actually post things now.
I really do talk like that if I don't focus on enunciating my words. Sometimes if I really don't concentrate you can't tell what I'm saying. Typing it as it sounds would be unreadable. Sigh, the pains of being a Yooper.
