Persen, i'm gonna have to pop your bubble.
Machine guns would be of little use against a Siege engine, a demolishor, with it's exposed crew, maybe, a catapult or glaive launcher? Definitely a depopulator, but against a Siege engine or tower (Those big castle on wheel things in outland) it'd just be a nuisance.

Depends on how powerful of a machine gun. If you were able to punch through the armor, they'd become living hell for those inside the siege engines (what with all the ricocheting metal).

Yes, but I doubt the machine guns they have right now can truly penetrate a Siege engine (Which is roughly comparable in size to a Heavy Tank, and durable enough to be one.
We're talking about 20-30mm calibers if it's gonna penetrate that.
EDIT: Excuse my blatant CNC reference.

Assuming other weapons, namely mines, artillery and most importantly, armour piercing guns, have reached a point where they are advanced enough to breach the armour, that wouldn't be a problem. That's also assuming the two sides still use those other forms of weaponry as opposed to purely machine guns, which they most likely would do in the interest of combined arms.
Also, any specifics as to where the main fighting is occurring Persen? Tempted to throw some characters in at some point over the next few days, once I have some ideas in mind.

Persen said it was based around MoP.
So I am to assume it is in Karasang wilds, possibly the rest of pandaria.
And I'm tempted to blow up hearthgeln. Becouse....For by nerzul the scourge shall reign supreme.
And we have rockets and airships and airplanes, isn't the technology closer to ww2?

The problem is, they have to be there. Do you see these kinds of weapons on every battlefield in wow?
Nope.
I realize I screwed up the introduction. I guess I'll have to try and salvage that.

Wetlands is one main front. Ashenvale too, as it's always been. Fighting goes on wherever the Horde and Alliance come close, of course...which is pretty much everywhere. You're free to open up new fronts, too.

Like a true world war, you kill each other wherever you get the chance.
If you want to blow up Hearthglen, be my guest. If some lunatic thinks this is the right hour for the Scourge to resurface, who am I to object?
Huge airships and really crude planes. Stupid tanks with no real use except smashing buildings and protecting the crew from small arms fire. I'd say it's pretty close to WW1. But why does it have to be one? It's not history.

Not true! They can smash walls! And other tanks! And have machine guns stuck ontop of them to kill 200 orcs as a leveling quest!

So how much better shape are we in in makorr? I mean, I ruined the muscles around my shoulder a few years ago and have a much smaller range of motion than I used to. Has it healed coming to Azeroth, or are we just feeling better in terms of stamina and whatnot?
