Ur, I thought the saying was "What does not kill me makes me stronger" or in another terming, "What does not kill you makes you stronger"..is this a new saying?
It's a play on that saying,
originally from Heath Ledger's Joker in The Dark Knight
. If you havn't watched that, watch Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and then eagerly await The Dark Knight Rises and the revelation that Christopher Nolan
was lying to us about there being no fourth installment
.

I don't remember a "The dark knight" but I have seen a few of the batman movies. Don't remember that saying though. Might need to find and rewatch. :)
You might be thinking of the old Tim Burton ones. They're good but they're nothing compared to the sheer epicness that is the "Nolanverse".

I still prefer Jacky as the Joker.

I did too when I first saw Ledger's Joker. I remember thinking "what's up with the long hair and facepaint? That's not Joker! What kind of moron would want to see a movie with this guy in it? He's nothing like Joker!" Then I went to a friends and ended up watching it. My god it was one of the greatest cinematic experiences of my life.
It's hard to compare them, though, being as each represents a seperate part of the Joker's characteristics (funny, given that in the comics the Joker would often cross the line between comic relief of homocidal madman). Jack Nicholson's Joker represents the clownier, comic relief side while Heath Ledger's Joker represented the darker, muderous one (which I personally prefer to due my "the world is dark, fiction should be as well" mentallity).

Eh, I don't know, I love the Killing Joke, but I can't stand Heath Ledger, and that bleeds over into how I view the role....but that being said, I also hate Ryan Reynolds, yet I liked him in Green Lantern so....

I don't know enough of Ledger's work to be able to decide wether or not he was a good actor (God rest his soul). And I've only seen three movies with Ryan Reynolds in them: Wolverine (Deadpool ftw!) Green Lantern (Green Lantern ftw!) and recently one I think was called Chaos Theory or something. Unless the Deadpool movie fails to arive, however, I will consider him an excellent actor.

I gotta elaborate on that - they told me about that chance a month ago when I had... like, 6 tests/exams to do. Now I'm all clear. Hence "bragging".
So you did well then?
I'M SO PROUD OF YOU.

Warning, said scene is fairly dark. The whole movie is like that.
