I wish for a third faction the more I hear of cata.Which again, for WoW, will never occur.

We get it your pissed off about the horde, you don't need a paragraph to repeat this every time.
And you don't have to voice the same objection to me doing so, but hey, you will anyway.

Even though Blizzard wants it, they admitted that the game wouldn't work if a third faction was tacked on. In hindsight, they do regret not putting in a third one, as said in various interviews.
Right; hence my comment heh.

you know the one thing about wow was the aspect of the neutral factions being brought forward.
In warcraft past, neutral wasn't even a present thing. going back to rise of the horde, beyond the dark portal, tides of darkness and all, it wasn't even a case of neutral factions bringing together both factions for the greater deed.
Now look at it, the sha'tar, the kirin tor, the argent crusade, the cenarion circle, the earthern ring, all these factions being neutral, meaning both factions can be associated with it.. but you the player never really part of it.

However, history of MMOs says they've been able to do incredible things that they'd always wanted to do but never really thought they could. It hasn't happened yet with WoW (other than a few flat out denied features, there hasn't been much of a 180 degree turn in terms of both tech and developer intent.)
So, while it COULD happen (in the sense that anything can happen), it likely will not.
Probably not till the final expansion if at all.

So, in short, Garrosh confirms his spot as the Horde's meme machine, even in Warcraft literature, Varian's got arcane MPD, and Thrall ascends to a higher level of consciousness (in my opinion, but clearly it's not shared by everyone else).
I'm assuming that, other than the Varian stuff, it's all Kalimdor based?Nah, about half the story took place in the Eastern Kingdoms (some Stormwind, mostly Ironforge) or Nagrand.
apparently the only direction the writers felt they could go in was to give the horde another warmonger leader and drag it back though the old horde way of thinking, because that was what the horde was meant to really be about right? No noble savage heroes with a dark past, just some brutes running around and tearing up stuff.I told you, please stop making snap judgments without reading the book.
That is NOT the direction that the Horde is going. It's certainly got some of that in it (I can't deny that razing Ashenvale was kinda uncool), but for the most part, it still got its honor. Garrosh is still a jerk for most of the book, but he's not evil.
And besides, we got Baine now, who, as I said, manages to be a total badass powerhouse while still having his father's wisdom. And he's friends with Anduin and Jaina (Jaina actually pretty much funded the entire retaking of Thunder Bluff from the Grimtotems).

I plan on reading it, all right.
However, I'm really becoming increasingly disillusioned in regards to WoW in general. And nothing that I've heard about this book has really done much to counter that.

I wasn't really looking forward to Cataclysm much before I read this book, besides the simple desire to find out what happened next, but this book has really gotten me excited. (Which is exactly what Blizzard wanted).

Get you excited? Also, how is Magni relationship with Moira explored in the book? I heard only that he was a "bad father" and he wanted a son instead of a daughter.

So let me get it right. your excited at the prospect that the horde will not be lead by a noble figure like Thrall again, and settle for having a warmongering tyrent rule it instead.
Forgive my bluntness, but I'm not sure where your priorities lie now

They have no "on-screen" time together, but we get a much closer look at Moira's feeling towards Magni and Dagran than we ever have before.

Garrosh is okay, but it's mainly Baine that I'm looking forward to most.

about
the book so far, I'm not seeing it.
Let's put it this way: If not even "it's
Golden
" can make those plot elements—with the possible exception of Baine's character development—sound good, I've got little hope for the story.

I know it will sound stupid and you may even want to choke me but you're judging a book from the cape.Actually, I'm judging it by summaries and plot elements. And based on that, it seems to me like they're not even really trying any longer.
I get what you mean, it doesn't sound too apealing but many things don't nowadays. Please note that I still intend to read it.
