Also; really doubting a full Dream expansion since all the Nightmare problems, except that one tiny dark area have been dealt with, and we'll probably end up taking down the Old God of Northern Kalimdor in Cata.
Adamsm, if there's one thing we should learn from Blizzard, is that if there's something there, no matter how small, %^&* will happen. They will never just 'leave' that little corrupted place a little corrupted place.
It's like a rule of the internet. Or Murphy's law, or Godwin's law.
"If you build it, it will use magic plot devices to become Cthulhu's daddy."
Same holds true for anything really, but if I remember properly,
Stormrage
left the Nightmare more or less open as a potential plot. Sealed away does not equal eliminated.

It did, and it didn't; pretty much the entirety of the Nightmare forces were eradicated when Xavius went down. And if we end up 'killing' the Northern Kalimdor God(the one responsible for saving Xavius during the Sundering and giving him the power up), there is no 'leader' for a revived Nightmare to fight for.

True. But the death of Ni'Zoth and Xavius may only be a setback!

The same Old God that created and is in command of the Nightmare is the "boss" of Deathwing. I could see the Rift of Aln being like the Ruby Sanctum, after killing Deathwing we go to the Rift and deal with this Old God. Concluding the Emerald Nightmare and Deathwing storylines.

No, I'm serious; they released the last class for Diablo 3,
the Demon Hunter
. It's possible we'll see them at some point as a playable class in Warcraft, but we'll have to wait and see.I'm aware of that. However, I'd thought you were implying that demonhunters in Diablo 3 automatically rules out demonhunters in WoW. My bad.

I don't know, depends on Blizzard(I also would rather not just have a rehash of the book in game).

Heh indeed, and no wasn't speaking like that.

I certainly hope they don't condense content into fewer xpacks. If they do, we'll get less races and classes, the most important loss of all.

They've said they want to cap it at level 100.

I looked through one of those blue-tracker sites. I found one
implying
that it
might
be 120, but none saying 100.

/shrug, Can't remember the exact time it was mentioned, but I do remember something saying that.

Burning Legion
- They keep showing up, we keep slapping them back. Truthfully the only access they have to us anymore is through the Dark Portal by way of Outland. I see this as a chance for Blizz to take us back to the shattered world of draenor to face the demons once again. Could we see some old familiar faces showing up on both side of the fight? Illidan, the chick that shows up during the Illidan fight (cant remember her name at the moment) on our side..a reconcilliation between him, Malfurion and Tyrande perhaps? In the other corner the big baddie could be an avatar of Sargeras himself (after all every attempt from his generals keeps getting shot down by a bunch of mortals...this is bound to have him take a more personal involvement). I see this as another mini-xpac with phased in areas...perhaps a new battle mechanic that has both side on multiple fronts fighting in pitched combat...the zone phasing and changing as one side or the other pushes the other back akin to Warhammer. Perhaps bigger than adding a few zones but not big enough to warrant an entire xpac to it.
Argus
- This one is tricky... a world that has entirely been taken over by the Legion. Perhaps this could be where our lost alliance comrades fled to before Draenor exploded ended up, along with the fleeing orcs. We could see a merged "alliance" (for lack of better term) of Horde and Alliance....niether side at odds with the other anymore and found a way to contact Azeroth for help. This could be tied in to the Legion above, or the event above could be the lead in to this. Would Blizz devote an entire expansion to it? I doubt it....but its possible to see some kind of story done here.Wait, wait...you can see facing Azshara being a whole xpack to itself, but not Argus or another Legion resurgence?
The Legion's a lot stronger than people tend to think; it's far from beaten, and does
not
seem to be limited to Outland in its access. And as for Argus...even if the whole fight's on a single continent, I'm sure they could come up with a whole xpack's worth.

I seriously doubt they would make a total xpac for Argus. The move to Draenor makes sense only because of the Dark Portal. Even then, it took writing in an entirely new race to make the lore work. Stretching out even further like that would just be Outland 2.0 something that Blizzard does its best to try and not do. You could make the arguement that all thier stuff is just handwashed Tolkien stuff anyway, but the same could be said for any fantasy medium out there today.None of that necessarily follows. How is an entirely new world just "Outland 2.0" (never mind that Outland is supposedly getting revamped as it is)?
And they've hinted rather strongly that we
are
eventually going to visit
at least seven worlds
on the other side of the
dimensional gateways
.
I was just tossing out ideas based on whats been suggested in this thread so far. Personally Im more inclined to beleave that the Emerald Dream will be the next mini-xpac after Cata is released, then perhaps one more before people actually get to go face Deathwing. They do this with every Xpac thus far, I dont foresee them changing thier gameplan now.I could have sworn someone said that Deathwing dies in Cata.
On a final note, though I do know Blizzard will milk this pony till its dry and dust, in 2012 be expecting news for thier next MMO, which has been hinted at with the last 2 Blizzcons. At which time, expect things to slow down in Azeroth. 2 years has been the normal cycle for thier Xpacs so it does fit the theorys behind it all.Indeed.

On a serious note, I'm pretty sure there's a group of Trolls somewhere we haven't totally slaughtered yet...Aw, c'mon...can't they be
nice
trolls this time? Or at least nic
er
trolls who aren't trying to skin us alive and need our help, like the Zandalar?
...yeah, right.
