Also, what the heck? Why parade him around like an animal? Thrall is the kind of person you WANT to be at war with (assuming you want to be at war in the first place, but you know what I mean). Why would you want to be that cruel to somebody who would more than likely give you some of his own dinner if you were his prisoner o.0
Hee. you know looking into lord of the clans, and cycle of hatred, it becomes obvious how regardless of how noble they want to portray themselves on the surface, the alliance can be just as twisted and cruel under it all (even something you could same came fully to the surface when many humans became forsaken). The orc captured after the second war were treated as the lowest scum, many treated as animals, even pissed on as one orc remembers his cruel capture to humans.
They want to capture Thrall and have him portrayed as an animal in the same fashion. The alliance arn't as clean as they have to believe.

Its a known fact any orc would sooner die in the glory of battle then be captured and held as an animal. And it wouldn't surprise me if many of those stormwind captors knew this to, if they were part of S17.
Regardless, the alliance has really shown its ugly face here now, so although I hate Garrosh still, its not gonna stop me from flying into those alliance camps and towns and whipping out all there npcs first change I get.

I still wanted the NEs to be the %^&*!@bags of the Alliance. ;.;
They would have been if Blizzard hadn't of made Blood Elves.

Right now, if you're based on Kalimdor, you're pure as snow. If you're in the Eastern Kingdoms, you are lowly scum.
if I recall correctly, they already are there's this quest in darkshore where the night elves wipe out an entire troll tribe, down to the last man woman and child.
if that's not cruel I dunno what is.
the shatterspear tribe is completely anihilated.

ehhh you may wanna wait till patch 4.3 and when you are geared in tier13, new guards aren't exactly pushovers, and charging into them alone will end up in a horrible horrible death.
me I'm doing the smart thing, I'll go with a healer (already am a tank) and my best friend who's a great DPS.

Scary >.>;
For some reason I always picture Thrall as the really nice leader from Saberhagen's Book of Swords series. He would sit outside the prisoners cells reading to them from a holy book trying to get them to accept the error of their ways and become better people, and then he would let them go with the whole stern warning not to let him find them in prison again. I have no clue why I see Thrall that way really, but it always comes to mind.

It was my understanding that the shatterspear tribe were the reason the trolls had druidism brought to the horde, that there were survivors.
Oh well, guess I'll be adding night elf ears to that collection then.
And yeah, I meant when I had the gear.

You know people are often quick to think Thrall as a soft case who, because he wanted peace, as a pushover. The thing people never understood, and in the face of cataclysm, understand even less, is Thrall wanted to secure peace for his people. That was the main aim of it, he knew the alliance were his peoples enemies, and he faught to secure something for his people, but he was never a soft case. He killed alliance standing in the way of his peoples freedom, and even killed those within his own horde who would break that peace he and his people worked hard for. So even if he wanted to secure peace, is was Not to answer to the alliance, it was to make sure his people wouldn't get sucked into blood war again.
Killing for killings sake, and killing for the honor of protecting your people, is what made Grom and Thrall so different, and what made Rexxar leave the first horde in disgust over Groms methods.

I don't mean that he's a softie at all, just that he very firmly believes there is good in everybody if it's given the chance to come out. I could easily see him in his spare time sitting at a prison cell with alliance prisoners trying to very patiently show them that the orcs aren't all savage monsters. Maybe it has something to do with how I see his personality, I could be way off, but I just can't see him ever ordering the death of prisoners or killing anybody unarmed.

No that is true. After all, when faced with the man who made him a slave, and killed the only woman considered like a sister to him, Thrall gave blackmoore a weapon to fight with.
I just regard it that, in seeing from his own life experiences with humans, he would regard someone in both good and bad, and not huddle back if he thought confrontation was also the only method to resolve something. Thrall never backed away from a fight, he just never wanted to start one, he faught when it was needed to fight and didn't go looking for a fight, much like Grom did after the collapse of the dakr portal. And for an orc, thats an achievement in itself.
Anyway, back on topic track.

Sincerely, I don't see why people can't imagine an army of Stormwind's capturing Thrall. Its not like he's an Old God or Med'an or something.
they can but only with the element of surprise, we're talking about someone who can very easily call a tornado to sweep away entire armies (Wich he does on the lost isles chains once you free him)
on a 1-on-1 fight few people stand a chance against thrall (among them would be jaina, Rhonin, Tirion, Velen and SPECIALLY Malfurion) but the common grunts don't stand a chance.
only reason they captured him on this one was due to their little ambush, where they bombed the crap out of thrall's ship knocking him unconcious, then grabing him and putting him on a cage. Nobody directly fought him, otherwise they would had met quite a diferent result.

And I don't think that the main characters you've listed are the only people who can face Thrall. I also don't think that main characters are the only powerful folk out there.
(
among them
would be jaina, Rhonin, Tirion, Velen and SPECIALLY Malfurion)
That would imply that there are others he didn't list.
