So that's why we haven't seen the worgen mount...

According to MMO-Chamption, the latest beta build added a new worgen "racial", called
Running Wild
. It has you drop on all fours to run like an animal. The catch according to MMOC is that it doesn't apply a mod speed, but a mounted aura. It also has a 1.5 sec cast time and is learnable at level 20.
If this really means that it will be the worgen "mount", then hell yes. Another reason for me to roll a worgen.

"Tauren cant have plains runner, here's a nasty Kodo instead"
"Oh hai, worgen, you want teh plainsrunnar?"
Problem with plainsrunning is that you had to be running for a certain amount of time before it would kick in, and if you got hit the aura would disappear.

That is weird. How will other Alliance races get the Worgen "mounts" that way?

If they add this to worgen then there will be lot of alliance players QQing how horde can obtain more mounts (from goblins) then them (achievement reasons). So either they will make worgen mounts or they will add few new models to other alliance factions (new 60% ram, new 100% tiger... for example).
But on the other hand, maybe it will stay a new worgen racial spell that can be used instead of mount and somehow fits in their lore.

And, the theory has been dissipated!
They could, y'know, NOT have a mount for other players. After all, goblins only have two mounts.
Oh yeah, here's another thing... How would other Alliance races get the mount? You can't do the starting zone as it's phased, worgen get dropped off in darnassus so they go do any of the 10-20 zones, they won't be represented at the Argent Tournament... So that leaves cloth turn-ins (if they do it) and the random worgen NPCs throughout the world. I hardly think that would be enough to get to exalted.
Not to mention there's more things proving this theory right than wrong.

It's possible. They have added new skins before to make the amount of mounts even. They might add more nightsaber skins especially, since worgen will share darnassus with the night elves.

That's possible, but really strange.

Just take Kodos away from Tauren, give them back Plainsrunning, balanced.
I never understood why plainsrunning was "such an issue" when they could have just made it a spell identical to other mounts, just like they're doing here.

Since when is getting another factions mount a right? I love this new mechanic. Now only if they can give it to Taurens as well.
Since Vanilla. Although I can give you that Blizzard had changed their mind and will not make a Worgen mount but make a Goblin one that is available to other races... But I find it unlikely and a little unfair.

I never really got the Plainsrunner really. Of all races, the Tauren are the last I would picture running as fast as a mount.
Agreed. Male tauren especially, can't really see them running on two legs at 100% speed.
Every Worgen racial have you return to the werewolf form. If this is one, then it should be no different.
Yep, and going into combat does the same. Players spend only a fraction of their playtime as a human.

Really? I think it looks like they're jogging when keeping the same pace as other races. Imagine then when they'd really put effort into it.

Looking through the database I found that
the Alliance have 2 more exclusive mount
compared to the Horde
(not counting Cataclysm-added mounts). So, if Blizzard added two more mounts for the Horde (rare and epic Goblins mounts) the amount of mounts will be balanced.
Edit: Forget what I said, not counting the removed from the game mounts both factions have the same amount.

I was just about to correct you before I saw your edit... :<
I'd like to see a blue comment on this spell, if it is the Worgen mount, there will probably be changes to the mount achievements.

This racial looks like a really cool ability. I hope worgen still get a traditional mount so the other races can ride something when hitting exalted with the worgen. Im still crossing my fingers for either a stage coach or a
bike
for the worgen mount.
